So the first screens popped up for Sonic 4 Episode 2

People have been waiting for a long time for any sort of info regarding the second chapter and wow...the screens look absolutely gorgeous, the game is shaping up great

The most notable additions in the second episode are the Addition of Tails, Metal Sonic, Bonus stages from Sonic 2 and most importantly: Sonic Team is working on this game and not DIMPS which means it will be a much better game than the first episode

It's out this year on PSN, XBL iOS and Android...though there is no Wii release

This is most likely due to Memory limitations of Wiiware and this is Nintendo's fault

So we get an Aquatic Ruin and possibly an Oil Ocean remake this time? I am so excited now! :D

Looks interesting, I HOPE it comes out on PC, but if ep 1 did after a good two years, I shouldn't worry about it much, "much" being a key word. :P

I'm fairly sure Sega have said it'd be out on all platforms at the same time (except Wii of course.)

It looks good, but I'd rather see more original stages than ones inspired by old stages. We just got Sonic Generations.

Episode 1 was "inspired" by Sonic 1

I am assuming Sonic 2 will be "inspired" by the second game (hence the addition of tails)

I am betting that The third episode will have Knuckles

In any case: these are only the first screenshots, I'm sure Sonic Team has a lot of suprises up it's sleeve

Surprised they're bothering considering the reaction to 4 and the much more positive press Generations got.

Their plan for the start was to release 3-4 Episodes

There are rumors going around that all the episodes will also eventually be released as a Retail Game, which I hope will happen

Isn't "DIMPS" the name of the shoe manufacturer that made those Sonic Adventure themed sneakers? I mean, it sounds like a shoe manufacturer.

I believe Dimps is responsible for the Sonic Advance GBA games.

Yeah, DIMPS made the GBA games as well as the 2 RUSH games on DS

DIMPS is a for-hire development house that has had a hand in dozens of games.

So from what I can tell from that is that we're getting an Ice Cap zone, Aquatic Ruin, Oil Ocean and possibly Balloon Park (???) remakes. Could be wrong.
