I haven't played Don't Starve, but I wonder which is worse, a game without a plot or structure or a game with a plot and structure that you have little to no ability to decipher or comprehend on your own?
I was talking with friends the other day and the topic of old Atari 2600 games came up and we started talking about some of the really bad ones. Some of the mentioned ones included Pac-man and E.T., but the one that immediately came to my mind was Raiders of the Lost Ark. That game had a plot and structure, but good luck figuring any of it out on your own. I pulled up a youtube video to relive my memories and wow! Can you imagine buying a new game for $40-50, getting it home, and trying to figure out that convoluted mess?

I might have to check out Don't Starve this weekend and see how that changes my perspective on ROTLA...
