EDIT: Giveaway concluded, with the games going to our own undeadcow. Thanks all for posting!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time for another giveaway. Inspired by the horror mood going around the board, I'm offering up the lovely new GOG release The Penumbra Collection.

The usual Sinistar house rules apply - post I Live! to enter, or Run Coward! to decline. In the spirit of this collection, entrants should also post their favourite trilogy*. This can be games, books, movies, music, or anything else that fits the bill. The more interesting the better.

Drawing will be in about 24 hours, more or less depending on response level. So get in early to secure a guaranteed spot.

Final judgement to be rendered by the RNG, who is heedless to all cries of mercy.

* I know this collection isn't strictly speaking a trilogy, but more of a three-part single story. Still, trilogies give you more choices.

Nice giveaway, Sinistar! Count me in!...er, I guess, I Live!

One of my favorite video game trilogies is the Metroid Prime games. Hauntingly atmospheric, gleefully fun, and long enough to satisfy *giggle*. For books, I'd probably go with LotR. And in the cinema-end of things, can't go wrong with the Fistful of Dollars trilogy :3

I Live! Thanks for the giveaway.

My favorite trilogy, in terms of movies, I have to apply to what I've actually seen (Sorry Godfather). In this case I have to point it out to "Lord of the Rings", one of the few sets of movies I've willingly sit through a 3 hour run-time.

In terms of books, I don't have one. My reading is almost 99% non-fictional.

In terms of videogames, like movies, has to apply to what I've played (Which is going to fall easier towards console). Halo I find kind of over-reliant on the formula set by the first game. Sorry Thief, only played the first. Gears of War, only the second. Fable, every one falls into a trap of being simply pointless when you get into social and economic aspects of the world, and falls prey to having rather sudden endings despite some good things about the game, haven't played Mass Effect, God of War, only the second, Saints Row only the third. So on, so forth, this could go on for hours of me thinking and figuring out what actually fits into the term "Trilogy". So, I'll just simplify things down to just games with a first title, then a 2 and a 3 in the title with the next couple sequels.

Favorite Action Adventure: Metroid Prime
Favorite RPG: Fable
Favorite RTS: Age of Empires
Favorite Platformer: Super Mario Brothers 1-3, NES
Favorite Overall: Metroid Prime.

Music is hard to call forth into trilogy as albums rarely have anything in common with one another. Same applies to Art, sport, media, phone calls, pie, captain planet, couches, televisions.
I Live! My current favorite trilogy is probably John Carpenter's informal Apocalypse film trilogy (The Thing, Prince of Darkness, and In the Mouth of Madness).

Thank you for the giveaway, +1.
I Live!
the Millenium trilogy is just full of awesome.great characters, plots and twists and have a trilogy of movies that I recommend checking it out(and the David Fincher movie)
I LIVE

Favorite Movie Trilogy: Iron Man.
Favorite Game Trilogy: Fable, even though I have only played number 2.
I LIVE

Way in on this one and I rarely enter these anymore. Still hurting from getting Amnesia only to find out my system wont run it.

Favorite Trilogy

"Where the boys Aren't 1, 2, 3"

I live!

The "Dead or Alive" trilogy - not the games but the movies by Takashi Miike.

Thanks for the giveaway!
I Live!

Thanks Sinistar for the giveaway, +1 for you ^_^
Favorite trilogy: The Lord Of The Rings (books & movies).
I LIVE!

Stalker. Great games, except for Clear Sky. That one just annoys me.

I'll enter for this thanks, I really liked Amnesia but I'm yet to try the others. And by that, I mean I Live! of course.

As for favourite trilogy - the original Romero zombie trilogy is probably still my favourite, overall they're my most watched movies for sure. They just get something right in the tension which I've yet to see recreated in other movies in the genre.
I Live! And I love you!

My favorite trilogy - Back to the Future. Because, aside from being insanely awesome, it is the only trilogy in any medium that (IMO of course) has no weak installment. I love all 3 movies close to equally, and my favorite of the 3 is always changing. I can't say that about any other trilogy.

Since this is a video game website, I guess I'll throw in my favorite game trilogy as well... As much as I love each individual Deus Ex game, it is just a bit messy as a trilogy. So instead, I'm going with the Brothers in Arms trilogy. The story works really well across all 3 games, and I can play all 3 in a row without feeling like any game is out of place.
I Live! Thanks.

Favorite trilogies... for films I'm going to say Sergio Leone's The Man with No Name Trilogy, I've lost count of the times I've seen those movies. Games I'll go with the Gabriel Knight series. Books is trickier... would Douglas Adams trilogy in five parts count?
