The only person who could explain what occurred, a hacke03031 3031303131r whose identity remains classified, has fallen off the 303131303130grid after being recovered as sole survivor. According to his testimony collected by the TriOptimum Security, the3131303031303 station's AI known as SHODAN went rogue and wiped Citadel clean of humans. The hacker als130313 130313o mentioned the AI conducting genetic13031 experiments on the crew, proclaiming itself a god, and trying to escape in the jettisoned command bridge, leaving the station to30313 1303 self-destruct. Already bought and tested. Runs very well from what I can tell, although I obviously can't speak to possible crashes later on in the game.
Now, once the weekend's here I can actually start playing. Just a few more hours of work...
Oh GOG you are so very much awesome for getting this working on modern machines. Thank you so much. Just when I was thinking you guys might be getting away from the older titles you gives us one of the most demanded titles since the creation of GOG. Thanks a ton. I shall never doubt you again.
Game's been out less than a day, and already it's sold better than 3/4 of the games on GOG.

In a week it'll be in the top 20, for sure.

FlamingFirewire: I thought they included the SHODAN render as a part of the games extras

GameRager: The render is a static image, not the front page animation.
Oh, :(

EDIT: I wonder if GOG would consider adding it somehow to the game extras

I really like the ad on the gog homepage. It somehow manages to be subtle, and in-your-face at the same time. Every ad should be that cool.
I can't play it because it doesn't support Mac OS. I'm really happy that this is finally available on GOG, though. Whether I can play it or not, this is an epic release that lots of people have been waiting for.

I have money ready to throw at GOG the instant it's available for Mac.

It runs flawlessly in CrossOver.

Well they're using several images and some jQuery (or other JavaScript) to fade everything in, but yes, they could technically make an animated .gif image and include it.

EDIT: Side-note, so buying this when I get home from work.

I expect System Shock 2 will become the best-selling game on GOG.com, and I have to say that I won't really be shocked to see it. I'm going to grab myself a copy just as soon as I can afford it.

[Edit: Screw that, I can eat bread and drink water for a few days. I'm buying it right this instant.]

I wasn't here when Planescape Torment was released. But I must admit - I forgot about Legend of Grimrock... but I think SS2 has a pretty good chance to beat it.
SHODAN is like GLaDOS without a sense of humor. Or at least a very sinister sense of humor.
Remember Citadel!
