60 feet of metallic mayhem.

Slave Zero, a classic giant robot shooter action game set in the rioting streets of a futuristic mega-city full of mechanized enemies to smash, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99.

Slave Zero happens 500 years in the future. Man and machine are virtually one, and the greatest megacity in the world is locked in a brutal war. Mammoth, bio-mechanical monsters tear at the sky, and the earth shakes with the full fury of a brutal battle. These are the warriors of the future, when war escalates to massive proportions, and immense power of destruction engulfs the streets. Harness the power, make a difference. Take control. Become Slave Zero! Control 60 feet of raw robotic power, make your way up the buildings that reach 7 miles into the sky, rampage through a city filled with hover cars, ground traffic, and screaming humans fleeing for their lives. Now, isn't that the most fun one can have at the helm of a titanic war machine?

If the one thing you look forward the most to in the future is the ability to control giant robots and lay havoc on the whole metropolis, you can have a taste of all the great things to come with Slave Zero, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.

Niggles: oooooo Another great one from Thommo :D.

Why do i keep remembering this game with a yellow cover on the retail box??.can still picture it in my mind after all these years (or maybe i have a dodgy memory..)
I've got the big box, which have this cover image. Rest of the box ismostly white though.

Awesome game. Played through it twice years ago.

Are there actually pedestrians and building-climbing ?

The videos show it to be more of a reskinned quake-ish shooter than a kingkong mech simulator. Are they misleading ?

zeffyr: Jumper on master = 1, on slave = 0 :)

G-Doc: ^ What he said ;-)

There were four HDD set to "master", and zero HDD set to "slave" ;-)
Dow-ho
LOL and to think I only guessed it because I thought it WAS set to slave!

All these Tommo releases are awesome, especially this one and BloodNet, I'm running out of things to bang on about!
The only mystery is why Atari didn't bring all of these to GOG YEARS ago, especially when they were going down the pan and needed every penny they could get
The only thing I can think is that it was only when the receivers came in and started selling everything off that it was definitively worked out what Atari owned and what they didn't so maybe AAA publishers going to the wall isn't such a bad thing after all...

I honestly never heard of this, but I'm already digging the Cyberpunk vibe. Is this anything like Shogo?

Okey-dokey, I guess the lesson from last Friday's Enigmatic Hint is to not only look for all possible interpretations for what the hint depicts but also for what it doesn't.
Come on now... Release NAM or Redline! :)
More cyberpunk goodness!
Thanks GOG!
I seem to recall Slave Zero being one of the first games with hardware-based Environmental Bump Mapping support out of the box... Wasn't it bundled with Matrox G400 MAX cards, even?
Wow, I loved this game. Now bring Recoil! :D

Nobody remember recoil xD (it's a game of tanks)

Hey look! Another Tommo game! :-)
Reminds me of Shogo: Mobile Armor Divison.

Will buy.
I've never heard of it... But it seems good. I guess I won't resist buying this today... :(
Fuckin' sweet. I hope we see Eradicator and Redline here too!
Oh my GOG! I've been hoping for this to be released on GOG for ages! Instabuy!

Well done, GOG :-D
Have a copy of this on my Dreamcast. Nice addition.
