Firek: We had a truckload of fun checking Screencheat out in the office. :D The cool thing about this game is that you don't need any twitch skill - it evens out the playing field almost completely. Because of this, no one truly dominated every game, and every kill was well-earned and absolutely satisfying.
If this were UT, Tribes or any other arena shooter, I would just feel bad about wrecking everyone, you know? :( But here, everyone had fun. Great game altogether, and it must be amazing as a party game (which I hope we'll be able to test soon:D).
Exactly what I needed to hear! I believe we truly need more of these nowadays, with the market bombarded with individualistic games.
Do you mean a truckload of fun as in Timesplitters 2 fun or Goldeneye fun!? :) Both?

edit: can you tell me, sir, what was your setup? big tv? lan, split screen?
controllers (x360, I presume), mouse + keyboard?

I heard about this game a while back and am very excited to see it here on GOG. Thanks for another great release!
It sounds like a good idea until you realise that since everyone is invisible and needs to look at other players screens to figure out where they are, someone can just stare into a corner or up in the sky and become impossible to find thereby breaking the game.

Just my thoughts.
This is freaking hilarious, I love it :).

Those guys are geniuses to have made a gaming concept out of it!

Hmm seems a bit expensive for only 5 maps and could be a bit worthless in a few months if the servers are a bit of a ghost town by then...

*dampens the mood*

Hey I made a positive post about 'Halfway' at least!

Magmarock: Is this GOG's first Multi player only game. I hope this isn't a sign that single player games are going to start dying here like they have everywhere else.
With 1 or 2 MP games out of 800+ SP games, I wouldn't call it a sign so don't worry.. :-)

Cleidophoros: I feel you man.. Nice nickname by the way! ;-)
Does look like a fun in-person split-screen party game, with a big screen and drinking. If you gotta play over the internet then I think the concept just screams out for voice chat.

Just waiting for, "Dude! You're cheating!"

"No kidding - it's right there in the name of the game. Now shut up and play."
Yes! Screencheat is on GOG! This game is a blast, here is a review I posted earlier this week but here is some gameplay footage of me playing with four friends, shows really well what the game can be like.

"I've been playing the final build this over the weekend and had a blast playing 4 player local multiplayer. It's a lot harder than I thought as you usually screen cheat to get a general idea of where a player is, but because everyone is constantly invisible (unless they fire) you need to keep track of a lot more!

They have a great game mode called 'One Shot' where everyone only has a one shot gun and can only reload once everyone has fired their shots or a timer runs out (on memory was about 20-30 seconds) so it's a lot more tense. Other game modes like Murder Mystery, Deathmatch and Hillcampers work great as well.

I really enjoyed playing this but I definitely enjoyed it more playing local multiplayer rather than online (you can actually do a combination of both: 2 local vs others online) so if you like local multiplayer games, I highly recommend this. Much fun shouting (and cheating) to be had!"

Edit: Formatting.

Cleidophoros: Does it come with friends? :(
Don't you mean frieds? :)

Are there a lot of people playing this game? It looks cool to see multi-player games but it kind of gets boring playing local.
Heh, I love the game concept. Makes you wonder how many other crazy ideas like this one are still waiting out there. :-)
Does this game support 4-player controller support for one PC and/or does the game support multi-player over LAN?

I also would be interested in knowing the answer to this question? :)
So, c'mon gog we demand an answer!

Nice release, looks like a blast! I always used to screencheat back when I played PS1/PS2 splitscreen games with my cousin. Good times! Low on money, so wishlisted for now, but definite buy in the future.

I have played neither Timesplitters nor Goldeneye, so my answer would have to be: yes. ;)

We played over a network on our own machines, on keyboards and mice. This as especially cool since we had to scream taunts at each others across the office, as we were spread out across three rooms. :D Luckily, it was late in the afternoon and we were the only ones left. ;)
I'm pretty sure the QA folk later tried the actual splitscreen mode on inferior controllers :P but I wasn't part of that.
