Post-nuclear gangland.

Redline, an insane classic post-apocalyptic action game combining first-person shooter and off-road driving game is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

It's 2066 and the world is a different place. While the privileged insiders live in fertile domed cities, the rest of us fight for survival in the wastelands. Rival gangs battle for supremacy, turf control and valuable resources. In order for a young man to succeed he must make the right choices about his future. That's why you want to join the Company. It's on you, rookie. We think you've got the skills, but do you have the guts to go up against the worst maniacs from the Lepers, the Templars, and the Red Sixers gangs? We'll give you a piece, a rig, and let you try to prove yourself. No guarantees, but if you pull this off you might have what it takes to be one of us…

Redline challenges you to take on 12 insane missions in your quest to become gang warlord. Prove your skills in the arenas, eliminate rival gang members, and destroy all who oppose you. It features both vehicular and on-foot combat--jump in and out of heavily armed cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, and turrets anytime during gameplay. Blast rival gangs with over 40 unique weapons, car jack your opponents' ride or climb up to a stationary cannon to blow away unsuspecting punks. On GOG.com, the game comes with a full soundtrack in both high-quality MP3 and FLAC format.

The future might look grim and brutal, but there's no reason not to have fun while besting its many dangers in Redline, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.
Looks interesting, how's the difficulty?
Unknown title to me too. The game looks good, but I´m more interested in the soundtrack, I love that rock-ish from 90´s.
Last post in here before I buy, how is the SP? I don't play MP and if it's totally geared for that I may pass.

Cripes, I hope it's decent single-player, as I bought it already and I don't do multi-player games in general.

Nice job!!
Nice! I've been waiting for Redline to show up on GOG for a while now!

But does anyone else know how to make the Redline music continue playing? Usually the game will play one track one time. But then it's dead silence for the rest of the level.
The Enigmatic Hint was really "hard" this time... ;P

I wonder if there are any user-made levels for Redline. It looks like the game itself defaults to about 12 missions.
What kind of multiplayer? LAN? Local? Coop? Please describe on the product page!
I can't understand how I missed hearing about this back in the day, especially since the Game Revolution review was such a passionate love letter! http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/redline
I figured I'd make another post here to comment on the singleplayer, since that seems to be a question several people have.

I've made it through three of the levels so far and, unless they vastly improve, I can say that they're small, can be completed in about fifteen minutes, and offer little variety. In fact, the three I've beaten all seem to follow a similar format: Start in vehicle, get to base, go on foot, get in vehicle, leave level. Varying amounts of gibalicious shooting will occur, but the plot mostly seems self-contained, with little to connect the levels aside from the missions provided by the Company.

Me? I like it so far, but it's quite mindless and it follows the tropes of the 90's pre-Half-Life shooters.
