Down with the establishment!

Red Faction 2, a versatile first-person shooter in which the struggle for power continues in the destructible environment of Mars colonies is available 70% off on GOG.com, , as a part of our Red Faction 1+2 Bundle deal. That's only $2.99 for the first 72 hours!

For the last 15 years the corrupt dictator, Sopot, has oppressed the people of the Commonwealth. His relentless pursuit of unification with the neighboring United Republic has left the country soaked in unnecessary bloodshed. A battle for power and control that leaves the people of the Commonwealth in poverty. As not so ordinary citizens, a squad of super soldiers injected with nano-technology is formed. Fed up after years on the front lines each member vows to unify with the common goal of replacing the dictator.

Red Faction 2 features an enhanced version of the revolutionary (well, at the time) Geo-Mod® engine that allowed players to strategically alter and destroy the game environment in real-time. To put it in other words: you get to blow up even more stuff than before. The game expands and builds upon the experience and technology of the original game. You'll be defending your country as Alias, a demolitions expert, with the help of five elite squad members, each specialized in their own means of destruction. Fight through diverse levels using vehicles, an arsenal of specialized weapons and explosives in a rampage to overthrow the government. If that wasn't exciting enough, this title features the legendary Lance Henriksen (probably best known for his portrayal of the Bishop android in the Alien movie franchise) as one of the voice actors. That's more hard S-F than you can shake a stick at!

Witness and take part in the escalation of the Martian conflict in Red Faction 2, for only $2.99 on GOG.com. The special 70% off release bundle offer lasts only until Friday, February 14, at 10:59AM GMT. The games are also available separately, 60% off.

GOG.com: Witness and take part in the escalation of the Martian conflict...
I find that amusing, as the game doesn't even take place on Mars, and its connections to the first game are cursory at best.

kalirion: I heard Red Faction 2 has major problems with modern systems and requires jumping through hoops to get it to work. It's the one reason I haven't picked it up on Steam, unlike the rest of the RF series.

Has this been addressed in the GOG version?

Magmarock: YESSSSS Yes it bloody well has. I had isues with the Steam version but none with this version. It's a great game I'd suggest playing it right away. playing it right away :P
Good to know, thanks!

Bavarian: But this is only the first step. You know that, GOG and Nordic, right? Second step is to bring us also Guerrilla and Armageddon. Next steps would be Darksiders, Titan Quest, Supereme Commander, etc.

I'm counting on you.

undeadcow: Nordic hinted that Titan Quest would be coming to GOG in early February: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_spellforce_2_demons_of_the_past/post82
This was related to Ex-THQ releases, not generally to Titan Quest.

Rats. Thank you for clarifying. I guess the wait for Titan Quest goes on.

Ah, crickets. :( Oh well. But Titan Quest is an ex-THQ game, and Wikipedia claims you guys do now have the rights, so I assume it will show up in the coming months.
