Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!

Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf, an oriental-themed RTS where true power can only be earned, not taken, is now available on GOG.com for only $9.99.

Sit by the fire, young nobleman, and help yourself to a goblet of jasmine tea. You are wise to come here. So many warriors before you attempted to unite this realm under their reign. They were brave and strong. They had the noble knowledge of tactics. They knew how to choose the best steel for swords. They had fists that could punch holes through stone walls. They had eyes that could spot a sneaking ninja in the middle of a cloudy night. They had hearts that knew no fear nor remorse. But none of them came to seek advice of an old man living on the mountain. And--one by one--they failed. Their power crumbled, their dreams vanished, and they lives faded. You are wise to come here, young nobleman. But this is only your first step towards the true wisdom and the true power that only comes with balance. I will teach you. But now, finish your tea and bring us some water from the spring.

Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf is a game defined by its setting--an RTS that combines resource management, unit development, and tactical gameplay with storytelling inspired by the Kung Fu movies and oriental culture. Follow the story of a young nobleman Kenji, heir to the Dragon throne, who was exiled from his homeland and now seeks a way to regain his heritage. With unique units and many original ideas Battle Realms is a game that no RTS fan can afford to miss.

Choose your path with caution and let yourself be guided by the ancient wisdom of Zen in Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf, for only $9.99!
Interesting release wishlisted for now.
I still have this on Disc quite a good Rts if I remember and Nice addition to gog :-)
Not my cup of tea. I'll pass.
Old-skool RTS, with a twist? Yummy!

Then again, this is one of those games I'm unsure if I have on retail version already. The name is familiar, but the box cover art doesn't quite ring the bell (nor the gameplay screens). I guess I need to check it at home. Oh yeah and even if I have the retail version, I most probably miss the expansion pack anyway.

Either way, wishlisted.

Niiiiiice. Didn't think I'd ever see this one again - also I have been unable to get the addon until now. Great release, GOG! Really amazing and original RTS game with an original setting, original gameplay and rather impressive presentation (the melee combat animations made my jaw drop when I saw them for the first time). Good stuff... although IIRC very challenging.
Hmm...I'm intrigued but not overly excited about this release. I'll think about it for a while before I make a decision on buying/passing.
brilliant game slighly on the hard side but great none the less
I haven't heard about it but it looks good.

here's a hint: if you can't even remember whether you already own it or not, it can't be that good...

Yeah, Battle Realms is the kind of generic title that sounds familiar the first time you hear it. I think I couldn't tell it apart from Warrior Kings until I got to know it - and was surprised how ungeneric the game itself is (heck, the title doesn't even suggest an Asian scenario, does it...).

You know, if he actually doesn't own it then not remembering can't be a sign of its low quality, can it?
