Yshinozuka: I thoroughly enjoyed Grand Theft Auto IV on the 360. Thinking the PC version would be ever better, I tried it out when it was released on the PC. It sucked. Poor controls and lack of anti-aliasing made it a pretty frustrating experience. Unless Rockstar learns from its mistakes, I'll probably like Red Dead Redemption more on the console.
You can play GTA4 on minimum settings on PC and it still looks better than the console version. That is something people overlook when comparing them... I played the Xbox version after the PC version and it looked terrible (low res with blur filter and short draw distance), the aiming was terrible without the auto-aim, which is lame, and it still ran in the high 20s for frame rate, not exactly smooth itself. On PC I get 1200 res, much further draw distance and no blur filter if I don't want, giving me a crisp image, plus higher res textures and all at 30-40fps.
Does it run or look as good as it SHOULD have on PC? No. That doesn't mean the crappy Xbox version is better though, does it? No.
Can't wait for the Red Dead Redemption PC version! I have little doubt it will come out within a year.
