I myself sent a letter to support but got no reply. I'm glad to hear you got a reply, and I'm also glad to hear that they are working on changing things, because the way it is right now, is not actually very pleasant.

One note. Many people believe that I am being unreasonable in my requests here. I've responded, and had largely a theoretical debate about what the history of gaming has been and what the future looks like. It's easy to dismiss this, but perhaps some of you caught the slashdot article on "Vital Parts of Games as Downloadable Content" (http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/11/11/006202).
Game producers HATE that games are being resold, rented, etc. and are looking to stop it by any means necessary. Epic Game's President Michael Capps suggested essentially eliminating the secondary market:

Our primary retailer makes the majority of its money off of secondary sales, and so you're starting to see games taking proactive steps toward that by... if you buy the retail version you get the unlock code.
I've talked to some developers who are saying "If you want to fight the final boss you go online and pay USD 20, but if you bought the retail version you got it for free". We don't make any money when someone rents it, and we don't make any money when someone buys it used - way more than twice as many people played Gears than bought it...

I'm taking the stand I'm taking because I like used games and I like rentals. I hope some more of you will join me on this.

I like used items as well, but only because I'm a cheapskate.
