Yeah, it being the keyboard is probably good, especially if it's still in warranty. Saves you from having to make an expensive repair to your pc.
Be glad it wasn't a very important key: my A key broke and barely registered keystrokes on my laptop's keyboard. Too much use of WASD, probably :) I had to buy an external keyboard, which I'm currently using.
