I've looked around on the interwebz, but I can't seem to find any info about it. Do the Prince of Persia Trilogy have DRM? Afaik, there are three discs, one for each game. Do they contain the release day DRM of these games?
As far as I know, my version (POP 3 in 1 box) just has a disc check.
But obviously it's not so...

Tantrix is the POP goto guy. Might post a response to one of his posts concerning POP DRM if noone gives a definite answer.

The earlier retail released all came with Starforce which is why many avoided them. I think later versions moved to SecuROM.

It comes to something when this can be considered a good thing. But in this case it can be.

I'm not sure if the PoP trilogy uses SecuROM anymore. I bought the collection on Amazon and run Protection ID on each disc and it didn't detect anything on them. I did the same thing with Tomb Raider Anniversary and it did detect SecuROM disc check or something like that.
The 3 games ask for your disc to be inserted in the drive though.

Only the Two Thrones has DRM. At the release it had Starforce, plus the Pal versions were all censored due to remove so much elements of WW as possible(German authorities claimed this game caused amok runners). Later it only had Tages, but it was still horrible.
If you want a clean version, get the US-version on Steam. There is no tages or anything.
Warrior Within and Sands of Time are DRM free. Hope WW makes it atleast here.
By the PoP Trilogy you must be referring to the 4th, 5th and 6th games? (Sands of Time, Warrior Within, Two Thrones)
Sands of Time had Starforce, and Warrior Within had SafeDisc. Two Thrones also had Starforce. That is how they were released originally at least - it's possible that they were re-released in a different form.
The GOG version of Sands of Time has no protection at all, so it's the best version to buy.

I probably should have mentioned that I already have the games. They are in an Ubisoft Exclusive box. Inside, you can find the three discs for each of the games.
Its probably what OmegaX described.
Thanks for the posts, guys. :)
Sands of Time and Warrior Within have SecuROM, Two Thrones has the ugly, ugly StarForce bitch. Don't know about the "Trilogy" re-release but that's how I've played them thus far.
It's surprising that Warrior Within and Sands of Time are DRM free here. I still have the old copies from German retail store. The DRM started with Two Thrones....

To clarify (and further minimize the misinformation in the thread)
By "securom", he actually means the disc check. Not the activation-model.
Sands definitely had one of the disc-checks (I think Securom, could be Safedisc. No real difference back then)
Pretty sure Warrior Within also used one of those
I know for a fact that Two Thrones used Starforce, and one of the more effective versions.
But no idea on the re-release.

The 2008 version of PoP is DRM free too isn't it? That was kind of odd for the time.
If you are talking about the recent trilogy box set release in the US it has no DRM what-so-ever for any of the game, confirmed.
The one here: http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Persia-Sands-Time-Trilogy/dp/B001LKM0EW/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1282777268&sr=1-1
I have this one, actually.

Its probably just a collection of the three games, not a re-release in a true way. Anyway, thanks for all the replies.
