Kunovski: hmmm... I watched the video and didn't like it. I'm not very fond of jumping around, evading spikes and stuff... I prefer platformers like Another World, Limbo, Deadlight while I suck at Super Meat Boy and similar :)

keeveek: Hm.. This Pid thing looks pretty much like freeware Stealth Bastard. Maybe you wanna take a look at it :)
ha ha ha, I suck at Stealth Bastard too! :D I wasn't able to get past the first level where you have an option to skip a level (I guess 4th level or 5th?)... so I'm probably going to do some research before buying pid now ;) god, why does the brain degenerate so quickly...
It is on GG now, £7 here

http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-PID/pid
It will be here in about 45 minutes. ;)

Nice. might get it here then, waiting to see where it is best priced.

See, if you actually used the "Coming soon" list, people might not be tempted to buy games elsewhere because they had no idea if those games were coming here or not.

Well, absent a news post about it, I don't know that most people would know that the game showed up in the catalog as "Coming Soon" anyway. But it's worth thinking about.

THIS.

It looks like GOG folks haven't learnd still, that announcing the game before it's released is a basic thing and lack of it may cause them loose many sales. It's understandable that they don't make "coming soon" on old games, because they don't know if they will be able to make them work, but for new / indie titles?
but you must always thing of people who basically only come here to buy games and they like to be surprised! :o)

Yes, if I had been home now, instead of at work, I would have picked it up on GG when it popped up there. Now I will wait and see.

Probably not the kind of surprise that goes "Doh! I just paid double that for a DRM-laden version of the same game at another site!"

And while surprises can be nice, it's also nice sometimes to know what's ahead.

It is like the Chinese curse "May you have interesting times"

well, if the game is released here the same day as on other sites, I would have no problem waiting for a DRM-free version (I would actually wait even longer for a DRM-free version, possibly months ;)

but you're right, I'd appreciate it too if there was info about upcoming games. I just wouldn't come here every other day to check for new releases...

Given that you, at this time, have precisely one game listed as "Coming soon", one is forced to draw one of two conclusions:

1. You will have no other releases in the near future than that one game.
2. The "Coming soon" list is worthless.

I'm assuming the second conclusion is the correct one. You can address this in one of two ways:

1. Actually start using the "Coming soon" list, so that it isn't worthless.
2. Remove the "Coming soon" list since it is misleading your customers.

They never removed the forum search...
