the platformer pid should come out today... do you guys know it and/or are looking forward to it?
yes, but there are no information on how and where it is sold (or I can't find any...) so I am not holding my breath just yet.

edit:

is it now possible to have identically named threads? I don't think it was before.

ah no, I don't mind. more exposure is better. However, the thread name in the url is identical. is this some newfangled magic?

(ahh, your url is now pid_1, so it is a new system then...)

Pretty old system, actually. It's been there for ages.

ok. I just remember trying to make a thread at some point and keep getting error messages as it had a name already taken. Never tried after that again.
Don't we have enough platformers for a moment, already? :P

I'm still enjoying "Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams" A LOT!

Really? Have you played the demo, and can you make a comparison? Because the demo sadly convinced me that I probably wouldn't enjoy the game (other than the music of course. Oh, the music!)
I didn't play the demo because for some reason it wouldn't run properly on my computer although the game does. So no, I cannot compare those.
Hmmm... What could I say...
I play for about half an hour each night. I don't have a game pad and I'm really bad at platformers in general.
I like the graphics, I like that the game is fiendishly difficult (for me), I like to find out how to pass a certain section, I love searching for all the secrets and gathering gallery pictures...
Maybe I'm just easy to please but for me it's a great game.

The demo was ok. The 2 maps weren't that good, but I had a good feeling about the full game. So I bought it, and sure enough, wow. The maps in the full game are great, quite a far cry from what the demo showed.

hmmm... I watched the video and didn't like it. I'm not very fond of jumping around, evading spikes and stuff... I prefer platformers like Another World, Limbo, Deadlight while I suck at Super Meat Boy and similar :)

Hm.. This Pid thing looks pretty much like freeware Stealth Bastard. Maybe you wanna take a look at it :)
