tinyE: Resident Evil. Not sure which ones were actually ever ported to PC but I could go for some of those right about now.

DCT: Actually all the RE games but Code Veronica and some spin offs were released on the PC, even 6 is getting a PC version
Thanks. My hope would be that if GOG had them they would be more user friendly. I actually have RE 2 for pc; it takes 45 min to install and another 2 hours of tweeking and patching just to get the damn thing running properly. I'd fork over the money and buy it again from here just so I could avoid all that mess. FYI, I don't think my system is capable of running anything past #3, but so is life.

True but GOG getting access to the RE games is dependent on who "owns" the Series and the PC versions Capcom USA or Capcom Japan as GOG's deal is with Capcom USA.

RetroJaro: The trouble companies I can see are blizzard, maxis, id software, apogee, and epic megagames. Plus any games that were originally on a console (NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.). I would like to see macintosh games on PC as well, such as the mac version of wolfenstein 3D, and firefall arcade for the PC, but I doubt this will happen.

Still, the release of the old duke nukem games gives me hope for apogee, but from what I understand, doesn't gearbox have the duke license now, and that's why it was able to be released?
Gearbox bought the Duke Nukem IP from 3D Realms(a company that very much still exists) except 3D Realms retained the rights to all games released before(and AFAIK in development as well) before DNF. In 2007 3D Realms(Which to this very day is legally called Apogee Software, Ltd) licensed the Apogee name, logo and some of the back catalog IP's to a new company set up by a couple of entrepreneurs.

But both companies are signed up to GOG, so any back catalog game published by Apogee/3D Realms where the original developer don't have exclusive rights to may well come to GOG. In fact the new Apogee the Rise Of The Triad remake by Interceptor Entertainment and that is supposed to come to GOG, also when 3D Realms recently signed with GOG with the release of Shadow Warrior(Which by the way just released for iOS with help of developer General Arcade) and Terminal Reality, GOG said more games were coming. Since then we have(like you said) seen the release of Duke 1 & 2 and may well see more games. So not impossible or unlikely at all.
The Grand Theft Auto Series (III and up).

I would also really, really love it if GOG would start selling console games bundled with emulators.

Why would that be unlikely? Has Take Two stated anything about not wanting to sign with GOG?
silent hill ?
I'm hoping with the Disney takeover someone might light a fire under LucasArts, but I doubt it. Disney are probably not going to bother even looking at it.

So our dear Grim Fandango is still unavailable to so many.
I wonder what is stopping GOG from releasing Rainbow Six 3 complete edition here, they have the first game along with other Ubi titles.

Mabye they will release it once Rainbow Six Patriots comes out like how EA released Medal of Honor allied assualt when Warfighter came out.

It's a shame indeed. Especially as i have never played it, and it is a highly regarded game.
The Steel Panthers games would be nice, but I think Matrix Games may yet have them locked up.
All the SSI games
Ominitrends Breach and Universe.
Someone mentioned the Sims 2 and 3. I'd actually like to see The Sims Complete Collection and The Sims 2 bundled with all it's expansions and "stuff packs" in one easy install, instead of spending the better part of a day running installers and entering cd-keys every time I move to a new PC or have OS/registry issues. Sims 3 however, holds no interest for me, although I might try it out if it did show up with all EPs for a reasonable price. The nickel and diming schemes like the online object store, or even the stuff packs just got to be too ridiculous. The pudding faces and lower poly graphics didn't help either. So for me, the franchise has really just been run into the ground. I am happy sticking to the Sims 2 and its infinite pool of custom content.

I'd also like to see VTM: Bloodlines and Neverwinter Nights 2, but I'm actually kinda hopeful about those.

Even though there are EA games on here, I get the feeling it's like pulling teeth for GOG to get them here (and the same is no doubt true of many other game companies, so kudos to GOG for their hard work in this.) It's always the EA games that are without their expansions (I am very grateful for Alien Crossfire being added to Alpha Centauri,) always the EA games wanting us to sign off on an EULA, etc., etc.

The Lord of the Rings games by EA... and any modern Take Two game (and by modern I mean GTA3 and above)

What is so unlikely about GTA3 and above appearing on GOG?

I understand people like particular flavors of things because of nostalgia, but I do think there are some very good (even better perhaps) strategy games on GOG, whether you prefer real time or turn based. I like strategy games, but so many of them feel like they are all the same thing under a different coat of paint. I'm sure that is largely because there simply are so many of them.
