DeadlyRamon: World of Aden: Thunderscape
YES.

Thunderscape was sadly overlooked, and although it's not really on par with games like World of Xeen, it was still a lot of fun and remains a sentimental favorite of mine. Fantastic soundtrack, too. One of my personal most-wanted, but scarcely anyone seems to remember it nowadays, or care.

I've had trouble getting it to work in Dosbox. I'd pay for a hassle-free copy.
I cast my vote for Populous 3: The Beginning.
Legacy of Kain series (any of them, really, but preferably Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2).
Deus Ex
Homeworld and Homeworld: Cataclysm
Quake II
Grim Fandango
System Shock 2
Age of Empires 1 and 2
Neverwinter Nights
Heretic II
Gangsters: Organized Crime
Heavy Metal FAKK 2
Alone in the Dark 1
Rollcage
Anachronox
Theme Hospital
Dungeon Keeper games
Alien vs Predator
Freelancer
SimCity 3000
Dune 2000
Diablos
Black & White
Max Payne
Warcraft II
Zeus: Master of Olympus and Poseidon expansion

As would I! I even have the official guide, written by Peter Olafson, which is chock-full of humor and thus much more than a mere mechanical walkthrough. That would be an essential extra file should GOG ever acquire the rights.

I liked how you could recruit as party members owl-like and lizardman creatures, and get a load of the voice talent! I can't forget meeting an NPC with a rhinoceros head who sounded like Winston Churchill on barbiturates!

It did indeed have an interesting techno-influenced soundtrack, which was strangely appropriate for this more cyberpunk-tinged computer fantasy role-playing game, and the intro (about the magic barrier that had broken and had to be re-enabled before the horde of demons could fully cross through) was something I didn't mind watching in its entirety repeatedly, unlike most other titles' introductory cinematics (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecMTfu1K-jE for the entire intro).

A pity it didn't catch on and inspire numerous sequels to flesh out its fascinating universe, but on the other hand that means less effort on the part of GOG to dust it off and refurbish it for modern consumption. I do hope that at least one of its staff has crossed paths with this elusive title; I've no doubt his experience would be a positive one.

Well the thing with abandonware is that (assuming you're using a responsible site, with an appropriately narrow definition of abandonware) it's games you can't get anywhere else, and with a legal status that is often ambiguous or unknown. And responsible sites will never offer games if their copyright is being actively defended by someone.

In the case of Dune 2000, it's a pretty safe bet that it's copyright will never be defended by Westwood. Dune 2000 is more or less a mod of C&C: Red Alert, and that's been made publicly available, for free, by Westwood.
Homeworld series is esssential.

GameRager: I want Dreamcatcher's Harbinger....it's this quaint Scifi RPG where you run through a slave ship and fight all kinds of aliens to survive and hopefully make something of yourself in the end.

Thing is, it doesn't run in virtual machines running OS's it's supposed to support(XP/etc) because it needs Directx/direct3d and the virtual machines don't support it right currently, and the game won't run for shite in Vista/7 even in compatibility mode. :\

HARBINGER on GOG.......Gamerager OUT!
Harbinger?? I remember that game...I remember the very...brownness of it all. Not my cup of tea but there are worse games, such as Seal of Evil. :D
There was an old Myst-clone called Obsidian. It was published by SegaSoft, so I don't know how easy it would be to get the rights for it, but the game was unbelievable. I never got very far because I was just a kid when I played it, and by now the game's five discs are lost to the winds of time, but I would happily pay $9.99 for a chance to play it again.
- little big adventure I & II
- severance: blade of darkness
- carmageddon I & II
Tyrian 2000. CD version.
Also, what happened to the game request polls? I really liked having those.

The wishlist is actually still there. GOG just doesn't link to it anymore. Here it is: http://www.gog.com/en/wanted/
My top 3 would be

- Blade Runner
- Morpheus
- Black Dahlia (I already own it, but compatibility with Win7 is spotty at best)
