Adzeth: I wish those "you're not a true gamer if you don't get Xbox 1 on day 1" comments around the internet were from Microsoft employees.
Happens all the time, more especially with PC gaming. A bunch of elitist jerks, ignoring them would be best.

jamyskis: I would say I find it difficult to believe that people are that fucking stupid, but unfortunately I've been tech-savvy for far too long and am well aware that people can be that dense. Do you have any links?
I've mostly seen them near anything related to that Quantum Break announcement. The worst cases were youtube comments (I've no idea why I end up reading those even though I know they'll just hurt me) :p

C17: With information about how the Kinect watches you even in the dark, and it measures your heartbeat... does anyone else find that a bit perverted?
A bit? That's an understatement. Imagine making love with your wife/girlfriend on the couch in a living room with that thing watching everything, measuring heartbeat and al it's doing. That's outright perverted.

Summit: Imagine making love with your wife/girlfriend
Or both!
Anyone know enough about sound inputs and outputs to be able to tell me if it's possible to make an ad that gives a verbal command to your Xbox or other device to change to their channel/website? Something like a 5 second ad that just says "Xbox: browse ourcompany dot com" and it'd actually work?

The literal meaning of 'sensory overload'.
Well, that is one possible use of the Kinect 2.0: "Kinect with your lover!", using certain peripherals over the internet. Would be amusing if the porn industry saved the Crossbone.

Considering the rumour that all of the applause in their big reveal was from microsoft employees at the back of the room and not the journalists it was aimed at sitting up front, I wouldn't be too surprised if they were.

Cormoran: not the journalists it was aimed at sitting up front.
You mean those people with laptops on their laps, typing away like madmen, who if they decided to clap their laptops may have fallen off?

No, he meant the guys who are afraid that their wrists might break if they clap :p

That's picturesque.

Anyway, while i believe that most people will be stupid enough to buy XBone it's still going to damage Microsoft. A lot of folks here have 360's, myself included and i can't imagine anyone here buying XBone, knowing all the restrictions it will impose on it's users. They will lose a lot of customers.
I bought a 360 because of a liberal approach to DRM, accessibility and convenience. All of that is gone now. What reason do i have to buy a new Xbox?

Television?

Adzeth: Television?
You forgot to mention Call of booty

TV features won't work here anyway

If the ad was being played through the XBox, it is very easy to filter this out and it is standard practice for such things.

If you for some *bizarre* reason are watching TV from somewhere else, then yes it could. That then leads to how your XBox and TV are connected and if the XBox will steal the input.

Already posted before that Indie companies will have a hard time releasing their games
