We're proud to announce our third Activision release. If you've ever played an RPG session set in the World of Darkness, the game's title and the prospect of playing as a vampire should be convincing enough.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/vampire_the_masquerade_redemption]Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption is a role-playing game closely based upon the acclaimed pen-and-paper RPG system Vampire: The Masquerade. It tells the story of a French crusader, Christof Romuald, whose perilous quest will see him traveling across the world in both the Dark Ages and modern times. You can choose between a path of good or evil and the choices you make throughout the game will determine which of the many endings will come to fruition. Last but not least it offers a multiplayer narrative mode, which essentially allows you to play an RPG session on-line, with one of the players being the GM.

Awesome release. I stil have the original CD, but for 5.99, it's really hard to resist. It's already on the top of my wishlist.
Bloodlines introduced me to the 'World of Darkness' setting, and this looks like something I should enjoy. Plan to grab this too!
Holy crap, a V:TM game!
Now for that OTHER one...
I had this game but didn't play it much as I got XP shortly after - with which it didn't work.
This is just a fantastic game in every way. I recommend that everyone buy it.
For 6 bucks, wow. That's a great deal.
Never heard of this one, hopefully people don't it get with confused Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines because Redemption appears to be an action game instead of an RPG. I wonder if it's any good.

Its actually more of an RPG than bloodlines in many ways. It looks hack and slash and in many ways it is but its also a pretty solid RPG
Nice release, I've never played this first game, only Bloodlines.
Great to see it just for $5.99. ;)

I'd say Redemption is an action-RPG, rather than an outright action game. I need to play it again to refresh my memory (something I can't wait to do!)... but I do remember loving it.
I seem to remember this game being received without much enthusiasm at the time, but it looks like folks are pretty happy to see it here. What's it really like?

I bought this a year ago after I was amazed by the beauty of "VTM - Bloodlines".
"Redemption" is not as good as "Bloodlines" but an enjoyable, well told and solid purchase.
Well worth your time and money.
EDIT: IMHO, the main difference to Bloodlines is the strictly linear plot development. It's more like a book than an open RPG.

The graphics were the best the industry had to offer at the time of release, but sadly they really, really didn't age well.
I also remember the dungeons being extremely long and repetitive. But hey, it's Vampire!
How does it compare to Bloodlines?
