Faithful: Fun game (best of the lot imo) and I personally think one of the most fun aspects is the resource collecting in the game. Call me crazy, but I enjoyed that more than the battles!

Me too, I loved having buildings full of cheese and stuff : ).Economics in Stronghold rocks! and I also remember some of the melodies to this day...(I played it about 7 years ago).I will probably buy it later.
Well it says on the site that Stronghold: Crusader's coming out soon. Whats the difference between this and Crusader?
Hello Returners,
Stronghold gives you a campaign (a war campaign and a peace campaign) with a storyline where you fight a series of missions in sequence. And also a Free Play where you can build without interruption and initiate invasions when you are ready. Does not have Skirmish or an AI that can build things. Attacks happen on set times during missions.
Crusader has a campaign trail where you fight a series of skirmishes (without story) , each more diffcult than the last one. It's challenging! It also has several unique AI's that have different build styles. It's also set in the desert instead of green European fields. I prefer this one since the skirmish has great replayability and it can be very hard!
Both games are fantastic though, I recommend you get 'em both. Crusader is somewhat more of a sequel.
Crazy... This game is too nice... I hope they will get all the collection

A great addition, would buy if I didn't have it already :)
IMO it was really not appreciated enough at release, I had a lot of fun with this and SH:Crusader.
Stronghold 1, yay. But 1.3.1, please explain. The last official version of Stronghold 1 was 1.2. Could someone post the changes?

That's the game I thought of when I read the title, actually.

I loved this game! I still have it on CD somewhere. I never bought any of the expansions on disk. If the expansions come to GOG, I will definately be purchasing the whole set.

The stronghold games have no expansions, there was the WarChest - but that was a rerelease, and the Excalibur pack (free download).
WarChest AI is in the soon to be released Stronghold Crusader and Excalibur Pack is with Stronghold 1. Its all there!
Sweet, stronghold is one of my favorite RTS games and imo the best rts when it comes to sieges and things. It reminded me a lot of Lords of the realm 2, another favorite of mine. Even though i have stronghold I'll be mpicking this up soon.
What a great game. Loved it from the start the into was funny a bit monty python. Thanks gog missed this the first time was released.
Now the hard part which to play waxworks or this 2 great games in one week not enough time
Another must-have classic, thank you again, GOG.com!
