Thanks to a new deal with FireFly Studios, we're taking you back to medieval times with the addition of Stronghold.
Stronghold is an acclaimed historic real-time strategy game set in eleventh century Europe. It is mostly centered around combat, but doesn't shy away from economical and logistical aspects all you RTS lovers are used to. You can play two campaigns: military and economic. The game offers many different military units, from lowly spearmen to knights in full plate armor, and specialized support units, like engineers and diggers. Build siege engines to lay waste on the enemy's stronghold, then use the right units for the right task and at the right time. Glory awaits, but first there's much work to be done...
Great! Another game after the Castles series for me to buy! :)

Brilliant. I'm in.
Thanks for this. One of the best strategy games.
castle sieges what more do you need
I'll be getting this as soon as I get home from work :)
Fun game (best of the lot imo) and I personally think one of the most fun aspects is the resource collecting in the game. Call me crazy, but I enjoyed that more than the battles!

ok you are crazy but i think minimizing resource collecting give you more time to think about how to repel an attack rather than worring about what your villains (peasants) are up to.
I second you , Faithful, i prefered the economic campaign rather than the military one, even if the war mecanisms were brillant.

WooHoo! Two crazies! :o)
Already own it and can recommend it to everyone. Stronghold 1 & 2 are great fun.
I loved this, it's a very enjoyable and pretty unique game. Like others here, I really enjoyed the economic aspects of it as well. Kind of Settlers-like.
Yea, it has castle sieges but you can knock down the walls with swords so not very realistic at all.
