whoa...thanks! downloading the game right now :D
It's good to see more publishers and Sherlock Holmes, but I think I'll wait until the "Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes" titles make their way here. (Which could be some time, given the EA connection.)

gyokzoli: Well, personally I don't like adventure games but the more games GoG has the more customers will come and that is good for all of us.

Awesome! I LOVE Sherlock games!
Now if we could only get the "consulting detective" series.

That's...mysterious, indeed. This guy did a similar thing in the Enclave release thread...but normal forum members don't have the ability to delete their own posts, do they?
I love a good adventure game, but the price point's a bit high on this for the length. And judging by the dialogue in the screenshots, the makers should have paid a few euros extra for a better proofreader/editor.
Perfect timing with the Robert Downey Jr movie due out next(in the UK anyway) week...
Those who want a game of Sherlock Holmes I'll point over this way... and it's wishlisted for the next payday ;)
It's a good game but a bit too pricey I feel. I bought the whole series for €10/$13 a few months back after all.

Now that is a job I would like! Work from home, a reasonable wage....*sigh*

The Case of the Serrated Scalpel
The Case of the Rose Tattoo

Now that I heartily agree with, I'vegot Rose Tattoo boxed but getting it to work on a current system is near impossible, for me anyway.
Silver Earring isn't bad, certainly a lot better than the Mystery of the Mummy series. The only trouble I felt with the Frogwares games is that some of them had too 'clean' a look for Victorian London and England as a whole. Look at Nemesis AKA Arsene Lupin for example, the streets looked cleaner than you get today with blue skies. Jack the Ripper had a more atmospheric look. The Lost Files series certainly didn't lack for atmosphere despite being a bit dated.
I'll never complain at seeing more adventure games, but unfortunately I have all the Frogwares Holmes games and have the upcoming Journey to the Centre of the Earth so there's nothing here for me.
Is this better or worse then "The Awakened Remastered"?

Well, there are certainly more legitimately classic - or at least legitimately old - Sherlock Holmes games out there, such as "The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Serrated Scalpel" (1992), so I definitely get a "publisher made me do it" vibe out of this release...

Thanks,
GOG another great game that will play on my newer pc's without dinking around. Yes I have it but need to play it on the older pc's. Frogwares has other great games, so it lokks like a good year coming up.
