Guess it's because Atari gave the license for the American version (not that there's much difference, but it's important for licensing).

Ooh, I love space sims and I haven't played this one before! Only $5.99, good ratings from the community, and a nice challenging learning curve with Newtonian physics? Instant buy! :)
Now all I have to do is find time to play it! :P

This will fit nicely into my ongoing obsession with space sims, filling the time while I wait for X3:Terran Conflict patch 2.7.
I actually own I-War 2 on disc but have never played it for more than half an hour due to my joystick malfunctioning around the same time that I purchased the game. Hopefully a gamepad and Xpadder should do the trick these days.

This is a great game. Thank you GOG. I sadly had to cheat to beat this game because it was so hard, but that was due to my lack of skill, not a problem with the game. I-War would probably be my top space sim if I ever get good enough to finish them without codes. :-) If only they had a save state (playing for 20min then getting killed to start over sucks), then maybe I would replay the missions enough to get through them without the cheats.
This is not a dig on the game (more of a dig on my suckieness), I wish they made more games this complex, and I give it a 9/10. 10/10 if it had a save state mid mission. Insta buy.

That I am not complaining about because it makes games cheaper for me !

The Defiance campaign has mid-mission save points, but it's still a rock-hard campaign. I should know. I wrote half the missions for it. :)
Great to see this game on sale after all these years. I can't wait to play it again.

same here and it's surely more fair than valve, as they do 1USD = 1 EUR on steam, that makes the price 30% higher to ones living in europe.
Just use an online exchange calculator to know the right price in your currency and stop complaining :)
