This sounds and looks awesome, I'll wishlist it for now and get it sometime later.

If i remember right the "dark side " campaign was better.
Always wanted to play the original for xbox, never found a copy.
Another gameplay video (HD):

i was certain i knew the game from somewhere....
then simple google search:

Damn this one is straight out of left field! Nice surprise GOG!
Never heard of that game before, but the HD video somebody posted looks very interesting ! If it's as good as severance, i'll definitely buy it... as soon as my "to-finish" games list shortens a little!!
I got it on a retail box a long time ago and I have to say i enjoyed it. It's hack and slash and pretty much linear, but it was fun hack and slash. No inventories, save point system (which I'm not a big fan of, but these were decently placed). A plus for the game is that I actually got to finish it, so it must have something that kept me coming back for more and it's difficulty was tolerable.
You can play with a warrior type of character and once you unlock some of the other character types, you can choose to play with any of those. There's the archer type, the mage type and the demolitions type, who lobs bombs and such. There's a light campaign and a dark campaign, though the characters from light and dark are pretty much the same with different graphics. The game was not original in any way but I had fun with what I got and I didn't expect a masterpiece. I remember the graphics being pretty good indeed.
Hmm... Just typing about the game makes me want to re-install it, since I haven't played it in ages and I've forgotten a lot about it. It's not much of a thinking man's game, except for some puzzles that pretty much consist of the "find the lever" type.
There is something addicting to this game. It looks amazing for its time due to crisp textures - the geometry itself is fairly simple. IMHO this title is better than Rune as the gameplay is more varied, with various characters to choose from each time you start a mission.
I wouldn't recommend anyone picking this up unless they want a port of a console beat-em-up from 2 (console) generations ago. It doesn't play as well on PC as the similar games that were developed primarily for PC.
I've never heard of this game, but it looks interesting and the price is fine.
As others have mentioned--what's not to like? Great atmosphere, cool character, STEAM PUNK (I loves me the steam punk). It almost seems suspicious that I have never heard of this game. I'll wish list it once I am reasonably sure it will run on a netbook--would anyone care to hazard a guess on that?

I'm looking at it with interest and also wondering if it will work on a netbook. My guess is that it will - 1Ghz processor and 256Mb Ram usually indicates that the software in question will run on a netbook.
Oh. Good news. But I'll be excited if there will be original Chronicles of Riddiсk (not Athena's remake). This news make this a bit more possible. Any chance to this happening?
Anyway, one more promising game more, so I'll try to find time to buy this

wasn't athena an exact remake with a tad better graphics and an expansion? In that case i would rather have athena because of the expansion...

No. They changed not only graphics. Also changed some levels and scripts (for example - first bot and lift behid him). So, I'd rather to buy original. No, I buy it as soon as possible in gog. Or may be sooner, if I would so desperade :D
