I just noticed Rebellion made this game. No wonder why it sucked, they ruined AVP and made Rogue Warrior in all it's 4 hour campaign's broken glory. That company needs to be shut down in a bad way, they're even infecting GOG.

gacek07: Guys, please, stop complaining. Nobody forces you to buy EEIII or MoOIII...

Catshade: Well, it's partly GOG's fault they named their service as Good Old Games...it created certain expectations and standards (which might be unrealistic) in people's mind.

Yes...a 2007 game with 1998 graphics....I consider that old. =)
How about Crysis?
But I'm guessing they'll just skip to 2009 and release Goblins 4.

Bottom line is that there are more games now without DRM that you can buy. More games = more choices = GOG becomes a better, more varied service. GOG a better service = gamers WIN!
See? The math totally works!
On a final note, it has been my experience after 33 years of gaming that no matter how "universally reviled" a game is, there is someone, somewhere who thinks it's best thing since sliced bread. So kudos to GOG, I say.
Woof. Bad week on GoG. Guess they had to make up for all of the SimTex stuff they swung over.
I don't want to be a downer; everybody knows that the games this week aren't really what GOG is about, or has been about in the past. All I'm going to say is that this was a tough week in the world, wherever you're from. I don't know about anybody else, but I could have used a little good news for a reprieve. That's why I use this website. I come here because good old fashioned games let me escape from some of the realities that we all face for a while. With economic, public policy, and environmental unrest at a peak this week (not ranked in any particular order), I really could have used a good old game. Is there maybe something in the rainy day box for the weekend?
If not, I understand. Contracts are contracts, business is business. If nothing else, I truly do want GOG to succeed, because I like this website, and it's already given me so much.
But if you have something awesome in reserve, please don't hesitate.

stonebro: Wooah, a 2007 game. Newest in the catalogue?
Too bad it sucks! :D

couggod: Since 2007 is now considered 'old' can we please have The Witcher now?

I already have TW:EE, but I too would love to see it here. :)
not Good, not Old.
But it's a Game! :)
Maybe the store should be renamed "Some Old and New Games", or SONG for short :-).

good one

garciafigueres: Wow, what a week!
"Good Old Games": First, Master of Orion 3, which wasn't any good. Now Empire Earth 3, which is no good, and no old... And both of them at 9.99$. Something's gone wrong.

Indeed, the week of the unwanted sequels for most of the people. I'll buy them on a weekend here, or when they drop to $5.99.

StarEye: Okay, it may not be good, or old, but at least the series is complete. Now if we only had the rest of the series completed as well - like the sierra adventures?

I agree with you, I do like seeing the series being completed on GOG, doesn't matter how good or bad the last game is.
I'd like to have the remaining Might and Magic titles, and the remaining Heroes of Might and Magic too.

lukaszthegreat: naha.
we still need the big truck racing and daikatana (which would probably sell quite a lot. it is a piece of gaming history)
and i do want limbo of the lost :D

Please don't beat me, but I do want to play the full Daikatana. (I've only played the demo on an old computer.) :p

sufinsil: As I see others post in the comments on how to improve the service, they want to see GoG become a archive of all older games they you do not see at retail anymore.

Great description in just one sentence.
It is what I'd like from GOG, to be an archive of old games... an archive of every game series, in a complete way, from the first to the last game in the series.
Also an archive of specific developers, like id software, from their first archaic games up to Doom 3/Quake 4.

Actually I'm with you on that one. It's such an infamous game, after all.
Just how I'm glad I actually owned (and played for maybe 20 minutes) E. T. The Extra Terrestrial for Atari 2600 :)
By the way, what's this "Big Truck Racing"? I tried googling it and didn't find anything. I do remember having fun with a Big Red Racing demo way back when :)

I believe they were referring to Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

Bah... yes Daikatana is an infamous title (and I want to play it exactly to know what was so bad about its design), but you can't compare it to the disaster called ET, you just can't.
One game, ET, which is accused of causing a whole industry crisis, in the 80s. hehe
I don't know this big truck game, but yes I know Big Red Racing, played it on DOS. :)
