The course of the future is in your hands. You are JC Denton, the last hope of humanity as it spirals into chaos.

Experience the opportunity to be a futuristic freedom fighter in Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, here on GOG.com, for just $9.99!

Deus Ex is without a doubt one of the best, most influential games in history. PC Gamer and PC Zone both have named it the best PC game of all time. It has received countless numbers of “Best”, “Greatest” and “Top” game awards. The story of JC Denton is a perfect fusion of RPG, FPS, and adventure. The world of Deus Ex is immense, the storyline is ambitious and layered, and the freedom of choice guarantees high replayability.

Ancient conspiracies, secret agendas, political intrigues, twisted plots, nanotech-augmentations, difficult moral choices, twenty-four weapons, intense action, deep character customization - it’s all here and it truly combines into a cohesive whole. The depth of the in-game experience and interaction will engage you on a level unparalleled by any other game.

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition is as close as you can get to the real year 2052 without growing really, really old for $9.99.
A most excellent addition, but it would have been nice to price it lower than the Steam version.
I'm quite interested in the soundtrack since that one didn't come with my steam copy. Might buy it for that. It's a great game, one of the best.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

Not because I can now buy it - I already have it on CD - but because more people will hopefully be online in multiplayer now.

By the way - anyone who buys this would do well to try out the New Vision texture pack and Kentie's Launcher - they make the game truly awesome.
Here are some Mods I've heard are particularly good for Deus EX

New vision mod which gives higher res textures etc (also enables direct x 10 support)
www.moddb.com/mods/deus-ex-new-vision
install the base package then the hotfix update

High Definition Texture Project (HDTP)
offtopicproductions.com/hdtp

Basically you install the new version and it's hotfix update then the hdtp

There is also the the Nameless mod which apparently is a well regarded mod that adds hours more of gameplay

Now I can't vouch for these as I've not tried them, however I've heard good things

Fred_DM: it's not like it's rare or anything. Deus Ex has been re-released so many times over the years you can easily find sealed hard copies everywhere and well below GoG's $10 price point.
Indeed. In fact, when Human Revolution came out, this was released here in Germany:

http://www.amazon.de/Square-Enix-Masterpieces-Deus-Ex-Bundle/dp/B0054IF5JE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1327581900&sr=8-2

And Invisible War isn't THAT bad a game.
Thanks GOG, insta-buy
An instant buy for me, mainly just for the soundtrack. I already have a sealed big box US-version and one re-release.

This is actually a much better deal than the Steam-version, at least for Europeans. Deus Ex GotY is 9.99€ on Steam, but $9.99 (currently about 7.60€) on GOG plus you get the soundtrack, wallpapers and the newspaper handout, which was included at least in the first release big box versions of the game.

For mods I recommend checking out this guide in the Steam forums:

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1235278

Just installed those mods a few weeks ago, the game looks absolutely great! Should work on the GOG-version just as well (I used a CD-version, not Steam).

It's a nice addition, but at least twice the price of the steam version during nearly every big sale they have. The same is true about Hitman. I think I got three Hitman games for $5 during the last sale. I know they can't price to compete with steam, but I wish they'd at least try...
Interesting to see that it works out cheaper than Steam in the EU

In the UK the Steam version is £5.99, the GOG version works out at roughly £6.50

it is lower for Europeans since the Steam edition (and every other digital edition) costs €9.99 for us.

Edit: i see this has already been mentioned. nevermind.

Thank you GOG with all of my heart. This is absolutely one of my favorite games and I have many fond memories of playing and enjoying it with friends.

And thanks for adding the soundtrack too.

Shame that the GOTY edition is cheaper to get from various online UK places and can easily be no-cd patched to remove the DRM. Infact amazon have it with the sequel (which had some hate but it's not a bad game) for under £5

Edit: It's also a shame that the PS2 version never got ported to pc.

I haven't bought this game from Steam even for 1.50€ (especially as I own the CD-ROM version already), so I might actually buy this from here at some point. 10€ is maybe a bit steep for me as I own the game already, but I'll have to check how well the original works in Win7...

Deus Ex, one of the top 10 games of all time. Can't deny it.
Nice release! i already own it though.

Shame it's actually cheaper on Steam (i thought gog were suppose to be price competitive?) Why Would square enix not set a fair price? Greed maybe? IDK.

Worth if you don't own it though, especially considering it's DRM Free.
