That depends on where you live. (Steam came up with their "random prices for each continent" concept a few months ago, remember?)
In this case, the Euro price is actually *better* than the US one. It's €5 on Steam in Europe. (for most games, it's the other way around, usually with absurdly overpriced Euro games)
By the way, the soundtrack has always been available for free, so even though you don't officially get that with the Steam version, that's hardly a major difference... ;)
The concept art you get with GoG is nice though.
Plus GoG is way cooler than Steam. :D

A couple notes:
BG&E 2 being a Ubisoft production, will probably be eventually released for every modern platform up to and including your toaster. I'll be annoyed if it isn't on the PC at launch, but I wouldn't be terribly worried about it.
Also, the soundtrack was released for free by Ubisoft. Even if you don't buy BG&E through GoG, it's a very good OST and I'd recommend getting a copy anyway.

I think that 9,99$ it's a good price, the game deserve it, but there are other options cheaper (at least here in Europe-Spain). Not a big difference, of course, but there is.

Its a great game and I'm glad to see it here but $9.99 seems a bit much to me also. I can't look at GOG versions as collectors editions - the original release would be more of a collectable and it would also cost less than this to buy it off ebay.
The timings not the best either. Here in the UK, Steam are offerring a weekend deal with BGAE, Dark Messiah, IL2 & Far Cry for £8.99 which is near enough the same price with 3 extra games thrown in.

Does UbiSoft have a link where you can still get this soundtrack for free from them?

So, now I bought the game (or rather, a few hours after my last post in this thread) because I tried installing it, and neither the retail nor the pirated copy worked because the 32-bit Tages protection would crap out at the end of the install because of my 64-bit Vista and remove everything again. So, a game I originally pirated was so good that I bought it twice.

It does, it's got no nasty copy protection that needs a 32-bit OS.

All the no PC talk for BGE2 is just speculation. Wait until the game has a site and release date before getting worked up about something that may or may not be true.
Hell, the game doesn't even have a real title yet, let alone a set in stone platform releases.

Couldn't agree more, I was suspicious given how fanataically dedicated some people were to the game but I was curious enough to give it a shot and I'm damn glad I did

Speaking of which, this will be my... fifth? Yeah, fifth copy of the game. Had it for PS2, Gamecube, PC, Steam and now... well, I'm about to purchase it once more.

I said it in me review and ill say it again we where all fools for not buying it in the first place when it came out (except those enlightened few who did in fact buy it when it came out)
