It's here! An absolute legend, the grandfather of all survival horrors, and based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft - Alone in the Dark - bundled together with the rest of the original trilogy!

Alone in the Dark is a survival horror game released back in 1992, and one of the first games to use 3D models over prerendered backgrounds. This may not sound too fancy now, but when you see the vivid facial expressions on characters using almost two decades-old technology, you'll see that this game is simply a work of art. But there's a lot more to it than that.
Overall, the game's presentation is simply amazing, and this goes for the entire trilogy as well. Each gripping story comes accompanied by top-notch voice acting, fantastic mood-setting music and an immersive cinematic atmosphere. After playing this release, you'll wish all games were this well-designed.
And, finally, the horror part presents the perfect mix of bone-chilling suspense and sudden, heart-pounding terror.
So that's three legendary games for a mere $5.99. What are you waiting for? Are you scared or something?
Now if they can get rights to publishing the ID anthology pack, the classics to be had in that collection, "nuff' Said
No brainer, downloading, thanks guys.
Does anyone know if Jack in the Dark is included? Looking at the stuff in the download I'm going to say "not" but I never had it back in the day, so for all I know it's installed with 2. It was released for free as a promo, of course, so it's not really a problem, I'd just like to know.

Yes it is! The gamepage says "Includes Jack in the Dark bonus adventure".

Thompsons: Alone in the Dark? Eeeewwwww.

I guess I'll just wait for the next title, which should hopefully be something fun and playable.

Ah, thank you both! I didn't see the note and didn't even think to check Alone in the Dark 1!

Yes, it is included with Alone in the Dark 1. They even made a separate start menu shortcut for it.
I always wondered AitD series. Now I guess it's time to find out. Thanks a lot GOG.

Navagon: It's not a promo thing or they'd say it is, like they did with Broken Sword and Heroes of M&Ms 1 before it.
Heroes of M&M's... lol

They're great if you already played and enjoyed them when they first came out, but if you're like me and are one of the kinds of users who missed out on a lot of these games and are wondering if they've aged well at all then you're basically out of luck.

Having played the first one not too long ago and watching video of the others, I can pretty safely say the AitD games occupy that opposite end of the spectrum of Old Games, far away from things that have aged beautifully like The Last Express and Total Annihilation. If you don't have any nostalgia for this trilogy, chances are you won't like it at all.
The original AitD is a bona-fide classic.
Going to buy this later looks interesting although always have trouble playng this type of game. Still a fantastic relase great to see it here.
Awesome! I bought it the moment I saw it released today.

Actually, I still have the Trilogy on my shelf complete with original manuals/Handouts and posters :-)

EDIT: I just realized, that the GOG version "only" comes with the Handouts for AITD3 :(

Oh well, I'm happy that I still have all of them. Each game, came with a Newspaper of recent events that tied into what would happen in-game, but they are not necessary for understanding the game, but they sure are nice ;-)

I remember trying to play AitD1 ages ago and failing completely at the controls. :P Perhaps I'll give the pack a try and see if I can adjust to it now that I'm older and kind of accustomed to games with terrible control schemes...

If you can scan those other handouts, GOG might be able to make them available to all...
