orcishgamer: That is cute as hell. It wouldn't eat my face in real life would it?
No, it'd be scared out of its pants (if it wore any) and run away to hide, only coming out to eat the seeds you left for it when you've gone away far enough.

On that note, I wouldn't mind Myst III: Exile arriving here, even though I already have two copies - one in a weird two-DVD-cases-glued-together case, and another in a nice big box (being a Collector's Edition)

It's a lovely idea but AFAIK you are perfectly allowed to talk about companies. In the Football world if you want to sign a player you talk about them, it's called tapping up (*cough* Harry Redknapp). It's frowned upon but it's perfectly legal. GOG could simply be doing a Redknapp and saying "Yeah I fancy that lad Microsoft, he could do a job for us but he's not our player so we shouldn't be talking about him".
And the hype machine keeps on hyping...

PhoenixWright: Well I will be disappointed if it's just Lucas Arts, what I'm hoping for is Age of Empires.

orcishgamer: Dude, I'll squee with delight if it's MS and we get all the Ensemble Studios games (among others). Don't know what a squee is? Well if we get MS and you're in the western hemisphere keep an ear open that day:)
I'm glad I won't be the only source of the elusive squee!

Its not Microsoft. :p

You are aware Microsoft are now selling their games on Steam?

MEANIE! :(
Well if it was Microsoft, I would only be thinking one word over and over again: Freelancer

That's why getting EA or LucasArts would probably be better for me, because I can think of a few more games from them...Yet, I must admit I like Freelancer the best. So I'll probably squee for any of them ;p
Not gonna happen. Even if, hypothetically, they had already signed all the publishers, they wouldn't waste the marketing opportunities and give them to us all at the same time. I believe they would repeat this same hyping strategy multiple times and spread out the releases over a relatively long period of time to prevent oversaturation and to keep interest levels high.

Delixe: You are aware Microsoft are now selling their games on Steam?
In the sense that they have a single game on Steam. The first PC game they've published since abandoning PC games in 2007.

And that's bad WHY? I mean besides not getting all the games at once, it wouldn't be that bad actually.

diegopmc: 1. GOG wouldn't be able to use the publishers' names to create hype without their consent.
2. The publishers' names and logos are everywhere.
3. 25 games in just three summer months!
4. They say it's going to be the BIGGEST announcement EVER.
1. Names, sure they can use them for pretty much anything they want, as long as they aren't committing slander; logos, possibly not, but most of them are registered trademarks associated with those names, so their has to be some kind of usage loophole that allows the name and logo to be used together in a non-commercial and non-slanderous way; the same way you can use the Microsoft name and logo in a parody, for example.
2. Your point?
3. Any one of the mentioned publishers could easily have 25 old games to release over three months
4. Again, any one of those publishers would be the biggest announcement they have ever made; each of them has been fighting for the biggest "want nao" publisher slot since GOG launched.

I'm not saying that it's bad. I just consider it extremely unlikely that they would give us all the publishers at once, even if they could.
