Yea! I got the retail copy activated! A nice fellow named Mach from EA support helped me. :)

That I tried to activate the retail copy on EADM and through the two websites, and that none of the three worked. The guy was pretty straightforward, just asked for my key, and told me to log off, and log in after a few minutes. And that was that.

I also bought Warhead from Steam and activated it from one of the two links posted here, dunno which one was exactly.

Thanks, I'm gonna try the same.

This is the response I got:
I've checked the code and regret to say, but it cannot be activated in EA download manager because this its a very old game and its cannot be activated in EA download manager.

Try to contact with another support person . It was the 4th who helped me .

How are you getting to EA Support Chat? I'm going to http://help.ea.com/ and I get redirected to a login page but when I login I'm back at the login page with no error message.
