Attila (2001) TV miniseries.
Gerard Butler is Attila the Hun. The plot is in short very similar to the Attila/the Huns campaign as in Age of Empires II game. Not so historically accurate, but the plot and combat scenes are epic. Starts from consulting a seer about his destiny, taking leadership of the tribe, raiding Eastern Roman Empire and later campaigns against Aetius who is supported by Visigoths, with the aid of the Ostrogoths, to the final battle of Catalaunian Fields, and ends with his death.
300 (2007)
"This is Spartaaa!!!" *dodging from his saliva*, Gerard Butler again played as Leonidas of Sparta. Much skins, muscles, battlecries, blood, fight against countless soldiers including the Persian's Immortals and strange monsters from the corners of the world that belong to the god-king Xerses, is the Battle of Thermopylae. This is obviously fictionalized historical. This is the story of the glorius Spartan hoplite at their golden era, from which the term "spartan" is coined. The raising of a Spartan warrior is told in the movie's opening, is amazing.
300: Rise of an Empire, a upcoming 2014 film sequel to 300!!! :D
Spartacus the TV show by Starz is a good one. 3 seasons with one miniseries prequel.
It's about Spartacus, an enslaved Thracian became a gladiator and rebelled against the Romans.
Julius Caesar appeared in season 3, he hasn't conquered Gaul at this time and become famous.
It sets in first century BCE in Roman Southern Italy. The story is fictionalized historical.
Lots of testosteron and blood as well as women's smooth skin exposed. ;)
