It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Sielle: I've yet to run into a file that unlocker couldn't get rid of.
This is one. I knew it wasn't going to work because FileASSASSIN couldn't get rid of it either. Installed Unlocker, right-clicked and selected "Unlocker", and the list/menu of programs and processes that may or may not be locking the program never showed up.

Like I said, this isn't an issue of "I can't delete the file because the process related to it is running in Task Manager and I can't stop it." It's something altogether.

There wasn't an option to delete the file anyways? That's odd. Your computer is possessed! Run for the hills, it's Skynet!!!

Ok seriously though, have you tried rebooting into safemode, or better yet using a boot disk of some kind and deleting the file that way?

Safe Mode isn't going to make a difference. It's not a process or service that's locking it in place. For some reason Explorer can display a thumbnail/icon for it, but I can't move/rename/delete it because Explorer thinks it's already been moved/renamed/deleted.

The only thing that occurs to me is to use Amiga Explorer to explore my C:\ drive and see if I can't delete it through that.

{EDIT}
I can't. Every way I tried to do it, I kept getting an Error 222 (File Protected From Deletion). "More..." didn't even show up, but I couldn't delete the folder it was in.

Have you tried deleting it from the command prompt??

Ok, did some quick research and perhaps this will work...

Using the command prompt try to delete the file with a wildcard. In other words use the command "delete mor*"

Also could you provide a screen shot or what unlocker gives? It should allow you to delete the file even after it says that it's not locked by anything.

Apparently this issue could be due to the file name being too long. How long is the name?

Ran a search too. And found this;

This would be a long and inconvenient solution, but what you can do is download Ubuntu, burn it onto a CD/DVD and boot from it. You'll load up the Ubuntu OS and then you should be able to access your Windows partition and delete that file.

While you're at it, you might want to give Ubuntu a test drive. ;)
The "geekstogo.com" solution worked.
