Aha! a crowbar. This will come in handy.
While I'm at it, I'll pocket the smoke bomb, cos, well, you never know....

I will return to the vent.

"Hey, anyone want to cover my back while I check this out?"
"Sorry man, I'm busy! Off to take a shower."
I can cover you back, I still got my gun

"Just make sure you point it at the vent, not at me."
I get organised in front of the vent, with my torch & flaregun within easy reach.
I then get to work with my newly aquired crowbar
dive headfirst into vent as soon as cover is gone
Not thinking anything. Primal instinct.

No problem…(oh man what a bad time to have the shakes, must be going through withdrawals from the lack of meds I think to my self)
OOC: GR's really got his work cut out when he comes back. :P

SirPrimalform: Being all kitted up with soap and such, I decide the only place to go from here is into the bathrooms to have a look around (and maybe take a shower).
OOC: Are you confusing the bathroom/toilets with the showers? If you check the map you'll notice that the toilets area doesn't have showers or baths within. The showers room, however, does. (But the door is blocked/stuck....and won't open.)

So which room did you want to search? The showers room or the toilets? If it's the showers well it's blocked for now so..... If it's the toilets then get back to me and i'll write something up(Remember though that the whole toilets room has been searched for items by Barnell and others. You could search it for clues though, or just do some random stuff in there for some odd reason.)

BTW Barnell I will do your search of the stalls in a minute bro. :)

Barnell: Seeing that I have the changes I take some time to search the stalls in bathroom
Feeling the familiar feel of nature calling, you traipse into the bathroom with your weapons at the ready. The smell of moisture and burnt burntness pervades the air, and you cringe when the smell hits your nostrils.

"Gah...bloody hell." you say to no one in particular as you look around for any signs of danger. Yeah the others cleared this room out earlier, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be any less cautious right?

Half the ceiling has been burnt away....the supporting roof beams showing in place along with exposed bits if pipe and wiring......sparks coming from the areas where some of the wiring has shorted out from time to time. As a result the lights toward the southern half of the room are completely burnt out, with the only illumination on that end of the room coming from the lights near the sinks(Which amazingly are still functional somehow.) Towards the back of the room you see the dead spider creature hanging from a burnt support beam, and it makes you slightly nervous as you walk towards it as you head for the bathroom stalls.

Walking slowly towards the closest stall, you notice the door is open and that it appears to be empty.....sadly though whoever used it last forgot to flush, and you shake your head in disappointment as you flush the toilet before backing up to search the other stalls.

"Can't go until I make sure i'm not alone here." you think as you check each stall in turn by stepping to the side of each stall door in turn as you kick them in with your gun at the ready. The two stalls on the western side of the room seem empty as well(although the stall in the SW corner of the room is backed up...again.), so you move over to the two stalls on the eastern side of the room while eyeing the ceiling every so often for signs of movement.

Kicking the first stall door open, you are greeted by a shocking sight.....someone has left their kids in the pool and not sent them off properly. "Damn savages....can no one be arsed to flush around here?" you mutter under your breath as you flush the toilet for good measure and approach the last unchecked stall. Your weapon readied, you hold your breath and kick it in quickly while pointing your gun inside. "Thank gawd......" you say with a sigh as you note that it is empty as well. There appears to be a dirty mag someone(no not another player.) has left tucked behind the toilet tank though, and you pocket it with glee for later perusal before sitting down to "business".

OOC: Ah, difference between British and American English I think.

Here toilet = place with toilets in, bathroom = room with a bath. By bathroom I meant the shower room, but you've reminded me that it's blocked. Sorry for the confusion.

Try and break shower door down.

"Hey, anyone want to cover my back while I check this out?"
Remembering that poor Nickel had a crowbar(Which he named Lucy for some reason, oddly enough. You remember it only because he talked about it from time to time during free roam hours in the Day Room, and in the dining room, and pretty much everywhere else really.) in his kit you go back into the hall, hoping no one else has snatched it up yet.

"C'mon....be here...." you think as you dig around in Nickel's bag. Inside you find some food(a piece of fruit and a soda) but you decide to leave them for the others as you have enough food of your own for the time being. Next to the food items you find Nickel's old police badge, and sigh as you remember when he would talk about his escapades on the force before he was committed here. "Those were some good times and some even funnier stories. Too bad he stopped telling them when he got it confiscated last month.".

After a few more moments of reminiscing you continue your search......finding the crowbar sitting to one side of the bag next to what appears to be one of Nickel's homemade incendiary devices. "Double bonus......well now to tackle that vent." Heading back into the Bunkroom you feel an air of courage fill you as you head for the guard station and the foreboding vent within.

OOC: Yeah over here a bathroom can be either a room with just toilet facilities and sinks/etc or a similar room with shower/bathtub also. In this case the toilets/bathroom is the room with the toilets and sinks while the showers room is the room with the showers/baths.

You try to bust open the door to the showers, intent on searching the room within, or washing the day's filth off of you at the very least. Sadly, however, the door seems to be very solid and whatever is blocking it doesn't seem to want to budge.

OOC to all: Before anyone posts any more stuff could I ask to wait until I catch up with all the posts? Thanks again everyone. :)

As you wander back into the Bunkroom you notice that Staines has borrowed "lucy" for some reason and is heading off towards the guard station. Calling for volunteers to come with him and explore a vent he found, you nod to your gun and follow him.

"Hmm, I wonder what he's found then?" you wonder as you follow along.

I get organised in front of the vent, with my torch & flaregun within easy reach.
I then get to work with my newly aquired crowbar
Getting some support from Bundy, you head into the guard station....making sure you weapons & flashlight are readied before "attacking" the vent with thr crowbar you found. After a few tries you manage to get the crowbar firmly lodged between the vent cover and the vent it protects and you heave with all your might as you try to pry the cover off.

"C'mon then..........heave, ho!" you shout with a big smile on your face as you work the cover loose, bit by bit. Within moments the cover gives way and flies off, hitting the floor with a clatter.

"Hey, watch where you fling things" Bundy yells back as the two of you peer into the vent while you shine your torch into it. The light scatters around the inside of the vent itself, but is bright enough for the two of you to see that the shaft itself turns to the right(south) from about one foot in and goes on a ways and then turns east again. As to what lies beyond that bend....well, you're not entirely sure. The area you CAN see seems empty of any danger though, although the sound you heard before is a bit more clear no that the cover is off the vent. Whatever it is is somewhere further on inside the shaft itself.

"Looks like someone is going to have to brave the vent if we want to know what's inside." you say with a sigh as you sit on the nearby bed for a moment to catch your breath after all that hard work.

JoeSapphire: dive headfirst into vent as soon as cover is gone
Not thinking anything. Primal instinct.
Hunt for beasties
Seeing that everyone else has headed into the guard station, you follow them....partly because you wonder what they're up to, and partly because you don't want to be left out.

As you enter you hear a *clang* as a vent cover flies across the small room and hits the floor(just missing Bundy), and you watch as the others shine a light into the vent and look around proper like. Wondering what could be inside the vent(Perhaps something useful you could get your hands on before the others get their paws on it?), you volunteer when someone else asks for volunteers.

"This could very well be VERY dangerous." Staines says as he watches the vent along with Bundy. "Are you sure you're up to it?"

OOC: Staines/Rodzaju must give his flashlight to whoever leads the exploration of the shaft, so he must make a reply as such before any explorations take place. Also are you just going? Is anyone else who is playing the game going with you?

OOC To ALL: Anyone else going with Coleman? He is leading I guess but is anyone else going with him to back him up should he need any help?
I guess i can follow him through the vent, maybe I get to kill something

OOC: Did you read all the replies I made to you? Just curious and making sure.

Also I will write-up the big exploring the vents saga once Rodzaju gets back with the their reply and/or gives the torch to JoeSapphire/Coleman in-game so he can lead the explorations.
