Rodzaju: Aha! a crowbar. This will come in handy.
While I'm at it, I'll pocket the smoke bomb, cos, well, you never know....
I will return to the vent. "Hey, anyone want to cover my back while I check this out?"
Remembering that poor Nickel had a crowbar(Which he named Lucy for some reason, oddly enough. You remember it only because he talked about it from time to time during free roam hours in the Day Room, and in the dining room, and pretty much everywhere else really.) in his kit you go back into the hall, hoping no one else has snatched it up yet.
"C'mon....be here...." you think as you dig around in Nickel's bag. Inside you find some food(a piece of fruit and a soda) but you decide to leave them for the others as you have enough food of your own for the time being. Next to the food items you find Nickel's old police badge, and sigh as you remember when he would talk about his escapades on the force before he was committed here.
"Those were some good times and some even funnier stories. Too bad he stopped telling them when he got it confiscated last month.".
After a few more moments of reminiscing you continue your search......finding the crowbar sitting to one side of the bag next to what appears to be one of Nickel's homemade incendiary devices.
"Double bonus......well now to tackle that vent." Heading back into the Bunkroom you feel an air of courage fill you as you head for the guard station and the foreboding vent within.
SirPrimalform: OOC: Ah, difference between British and American English I think. Here toilet = place with toilets in, bathroom = room with a bath. By bathroom I meant the shower room, but you've reminded me that it's blocked. Sorry for the confusion. Try and break shower door down. OOC: Yeah over here a bathroom can be either a room with just toilet facilities and sinks/etc or a similar room with shower/bathtub also. In this case the toilets/bathroom is the room with the toilets and sinks while the showers room is the room with the showers/baths.
You try to bust open the door to the showers, intent on searching the room within, or washing the day's filth off of you at the very least. Sadly, however, the door seems to be very solid and whatever is blocking it doesn't seem to want to budge. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC to all: Before anyone posts any more stuff could I ask to wait until I catch up with all the posts? Thanks again everyone. :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barnell: I can cover you back, I still got my gun
As you wander back into the Bunkroom you notice that Staines has borrowed "lucy" for some reason and is heading off towards the guard station. Calling for volunteers to come with him and explore a vent he found, you nod to your gun and follow him.
"Hmm, I wonder what he's found then?" you wonder as you follow along.

Barnell: I can cover you back, I still got my gun
Rodzaju: "Just make sure you point it at the vent, not at me."
I get organised in front of the vent, with my torch & flaregun within easy reach.
I then get to work with my newly aquired crowbar Getting some support from Bundy, you head into the guard station....making sure you weapons & flashlight are readied before "attacking" the vent with thr crowbar you found. After a few tries you manage to get the crowbar firmly lodged between the vent cover and the vent it protects and you heave with all your might as you try to pry the cover off.
"C'mon then..........heave, ho!" you shout with a big smile on your face as you work the cover loose, bit by bit. Within moments the cover gives way and flies off, hitting the floor with a clatter.
"Hey, watch where you fling things" Bundy yells back as the two of you peer into the vent while you shine your torch into it. The light scatters around the inside of the vent itself, but is bright enough for the two of you to see that the shaft itself turns to the right(south) from about one foot in and goes on a ways and then turns east again. As to what lies beyond that bend....well, you're not entirely sure. The area you CAN see seems empty of any danger though, although the sound you heard before is a bit more clear no that the cover is off the vent. Whatever it is is somewhere further on inside the shaft itself.
"Looks like someone is going to have to brave the vent if we want to know what's inside." you say with a sigh as you sit on the nearby bed for a moment to catch your breath after all that hard work.
