It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

You have to install Flash...
You mean like you have to install DirectX, PhysX, Microsoft Redistributables, Net Framework shit, Bink Player, Quick Time player, etc, to run some games ?
I suppose you also consider all of these as annoying as GFWL, but i'm guessing you don't let that be a factor when you're shopping around for a game
any programming language that reveals itself so easily (such as by an accidental right-click) is a poor choice as far as I'm concerned. For one thing it distracts from the game itself.
The right click menu can be disabled with one line of AS. Whenever i do something in Flash that's probably the first thing i do every single time. If the devs decided not to disable the right click menu, i'm sure there's a very good reason for it.
Edit: Actually, scratch that. I just fired up Flash to check this. The line i was thinking about is to disable the control commands on the right click menu (which it was done in Machinarium), not to get read of the right click menu entirely. Sorry, my bad.
I seem to recall a way to completely remove the right menu, but i think Java was involved. I would have to check, since it's been a while i fooled around with any of this stuff...
I won't agree with what you post; you won't agree with what I post.
Fair enough ;)

I like it, I've never been good at adventure games though, so it's probably gonna take some time for me to complete, and that walkthrough sure is tempting, too tempting as I've already used it two times...
As a Linux user, I absolutely despise Flash in all forms.
Flash is an absolutely terrible video player. I can run 720p video on my netbook running Linux faster than I can run a standard Youtube video.
Flash is garbage, Adobe is garbage.

Luckily the rest of us 98% PC users have no problems with flash.

local video vs streamed youtube?
Flash video is really good quality, given it's streaming and compression. While i mostly hate flash websites, without flash we'd probably never have gotten video on the web.
Adobe makes awesome products... i just hate their way of releasing a new hugely overpriced Creative Suite every few seconds. Every time i get an upgrade it immediately becomes obsolete.

You say it yourself, it's because you are using linux, and whatever distro you are using should improve flash performance. The game runs perfectly for me and I'm using W7
If anyone's still on the fence, here's my review.

It was a real pleasure to read your Machinarium's review. Thank You.
Wait wait wait... Machinarium was made in Flash? Like the final product that they're selling to us? I have to install flash for it to work?
Just want to clear that up.
And flash isn't just for Linux users to hate. All users have probably been bitten by it and many never noticed. Get a web designer in here to back me up, but I heard something like 2/3 of all browser crashes are attributable to flash. It's also probably the no 1 security hazard, given it's ubiquity and poor design.
That said, I do tolerate it for some things. Plenty of great indie and freeware games. I just don't use the player plugin for my browser.

Thanks very much! Spent quite a bit of time on it.

It is not played in browser, but it is programmed in Flash.
