This game was fantastic. Always loved the intro though to me it made little sense. Music as well was great. Hope someday it comes here.

blotunga: Maybe we should contact the devs. They must have the rights and the sources if they've released on the Icraps and android
You can try contacting Digital Reality here - http://www.digitalreality.eu/contact?view=contact. They haven't posted anything on Facebook or Twitter since August, though.
I remember that they put up a new version on the iPad (a remake of the old one, but I hear good and bad things about it).

GOG hosts Haegemonia, which was originally going to be Imperium Galactica 3, but then some stuff was changed and they started a new IP with it.

IG2 was good, but it had a ton of fatal flaws that I really hoped would be addressed in a future installment one day. It had terrible syncing issues with multiplayer and the game tended to end up as a giant-army vs giant-army slug-fest in the end. But man-o-man it was fun.

And it had the best, most relaxing background music of any game I've ever played.

Honestly I don't know. I sent them a quick message. Similar to how Atari hasn't tweeted in QUITE some time, I wonder if something is up with DR's company too.

No updates on their Twitter or Facebook. Their forums are pretty much dead since mid Sep 2013
You could be right...or maybe they are too busy. Still seems strange?

Hoping to see this game return, this was the only 4x game I ever enjoyed, never owned it but played the demo to death back in the old days.
This game is amazing, but I can't get it to run on Windows 8 :(

Help us out, GoG :)

Tallima: the game tended to end up as a giant-army vs giant-army slug-fest in the end
Actually, it tended to be giant army VS huge swarm of fighters in my case. Because my spies would blow up every single capital ship the enemy built.

Except for those pesky Kra'hen. I never understood why you couldn't use sabotage against them. Shouldn't they be weak against it? I would understand a limitation such as "only Kra'hen spies (or shapeshifters) can be used against them because they kill any other race on the spot". But completely immune?? Bullshit!

I found a way guys!! its not perfekt, but it works!!

I bought the game on my phone. after that i searched for "bluestacks" which is an android emulator for pc. (you have to install the program om both your phone and your pc)

It's a bit hard to navigate around the emulator, but use the "search" field in the top corner and type imperium galactica. you have to be logget in with your g-mail account you get the install option.
restart the emulator and IG2 should be in the top :)
I have not encountered any problems yet. (no widescreen, music etc. problems)

The downside of playing in android mode is that instead of right clicking you have to double click left mouse buttom. and the only way to navigate the starmap i've found so far is by using the minimap. zooming in and out is done by using numpad + and -
With a bit of practice in the "odd" control configuration it still becomes much more enjoyable than on tablet/phone

Hope some of you IG2 fans like me can use this information for a little bit of nostalgia
has anyone had any replies from devs about IG2 ?.

Btw IG2 on android is currently on sale $1.99...
