After looking at the "Racing & Sports" section i was a bit disappointed. Only really memorable game there is Screamer. Where are other legendary old racing games from the golden early and late 90's era?

Screamer 2, Lotus 3, entire Test Drive series, 4D Sports (Stunts), Ignition, Re-Volt, Viper Racing, The Need for Speed etc. I just wish there was more as i'm a total racing freak and if the above mentioned games were available on GOG i'd instantly buy all of them.
And there are many other epic racing games that i forgot to mention but would really like to see them here. I mean, what's the reason that there aren't as many of them available to buy? I'm sure there is interest but if you can't find it on GOG, then you simply can't buy it even if you'd like to buy it.
yeah revolt was awesome fun, some of the hot wheels games back then are much better than todays racing games........
I'd love to see Grand Prix Legends from Papyrus on here. Definitely hard-core but lots of fun.
Re-Volt and Need for Speed: Porche Unleashed would be great. They don't even need tweaking either. Both demos played fine on xp, vista and 7.

You guys need to take a look at this:

It was a lot of fun, and sad to say there hasn't been anything like it since 1995. About the only bad thing I can think of is that the tracks are supremely linear and narrow, even though they have multiple ways to the finish line.

Another legendary game worth noting is Big Red Racing. It had helicopters and ATVs on tropical islands! It was mayhem and chaos, but it had sexy physics for its time, which made it a riot to play. It doesn't need anything else changed to the formula - well maybe more types of vehicles to use - but really, all there needs to it is a remake with 2010 graphics and it'll be addiction all over again.
The original Moto Racer is pretty much awesome.

I don't really like pc racing games at all but Moto Racer and Motorhead was two exceptions for me.

NFS Porsche was cool. It's probably the best NFS game.

Carmageddon, Sega Rally, Daytona USA. Even Street Rods and Test Drive are worth a buy.

We need Motocross Madness as well for that matter.
If GOG are perhaps negotiating with Microsoft, bring on some Midtown Madness 2.
don't forget roadrash it certainly would beat neg rep here
Super Cars 2 would get me sold ;)
The only thing I want is Crazy Cars 3.

And legendary racing games are Pitstop and Pole Position. Those games you've mentioned must be some newly released games I've never heard of.

Some games still work but not without glitches. Re-Volt has some problems on new systems, NFS Porsche has all textures blurry because it misdetects modern systems as too weak and automatically downscales textures even though there is really no need to do that. Viper Racing works but the sound is all corrupted regardless of settings used. So many games that do work but not entirely and that sort of ruins the experience. Since they prepare GOG games for modern systems, i guess such stuff can be addressed and fixed. And worth re-buying just because of that even if you already own the original game.

As for the games age, some are from around 1980-1990 (like Lotus 3, Test Drive and Stunts), some are from 1990-2000. But by all means those are old games (but still excellent!).

Oh, I remember this one! Fun fun fun! :)
I remember one game that i played at friends place years ago where you were racing in a hovering vehicles with weapons in circuit tracks. Graphics were something like Mechwarrior 2 Pentium Edition and i remember you could select between light, small agile vehicles and big heavy ones (one even looked like a big garbage truck). Any idea what this racing game might be? I'd like to see it here for the sake of good old times.

Yeah, it's sad there are very few memorable car/racing games here. There are lots of really good titles that made history in this genre but very few of them are here on gog.
I guess it is not the favorite genre of gog staff.
