Well to get the ball rolling I'm happy to try and organise a meetup in London, if people want to post (or pm me) when would be good (mainly before, after or during the Olympics)

I'd be happy to help with what I can but you have to be more specific by what exactly do you mean with "help organizing it"

Also: I think it's much better to do it during a weekend Aug 21-22 would be nice for example

kazmar: As a alternative idea to all meeting at once, we could set it up so that each GOGer meets another who then meets another and so on and so forth (across countries and so forth).

So while we won't meet all at once we would form a chain which would connect the entire community.

And if we are so inclined we could get some item (copy of system shock 2, GOG t-shirt... etc) and have every GOGer sign it and then hand it to GOG.

I really love this idea. I doubt I'd be able to do it, though. Don't really have the time or money.

That's the same thing I was thinking just recently

Maybe GOG can even do a special community post here on it's website with pictures from the meetups, with "GOGers from XYZ country"

I second that. Region-specific meetings, within the reach of every participating user, sound like a great idea. But are we talking 'bout neighbouring countries or countrywide "regions" here? :)

In my native language the word "region" means everything between a small ethnographic region (meaning the whole Mazovian voivodeship for example) and economical region (which could mean the whole European Union). :)

Some places are easier to travel between than others. A region including Alaska and Florida (for example), would be less realistic than France and Spain.

I dunno though, I'm just procrastinating my way past last minute cram session.
