You'd recognize me with my GOG t-shirt and an axe over the shoulder. It's hard to miss, or so I'm told.

Those of you who're not going to bring an axe to the party, please wear a red bandana, over your eyes for easy recognition. (Yes, I'm trying to be humane here)

You would recognise me easily enough, I sound broad Geordie with where I live so as soon as I started saying Hi you would know who I am!!

It would be a bit difficult for a meet, finding somewhere cheap enough to get to for everyone wherever they are coming from. Dublin would be a pretty decent place, could possibly also look at Belgium, maybe Jersey or France maybe as a few other ideas.

Yeah, Dublin is a short hop from Newcastle Airport and pretty cheap return flights also. Theres loads of places in Dublin to see, one stop of point would have to be the Guiness Factory / Storehouse and the Gravity Bar.

Plenty, plenty! :)

Incidentally my brother spent a month in Singapore (June).
I'd love to go myself, but I reckon the priority will probably go to a Japan return trip or Korea.

A very long one for us. Even if we were to meet each other it would probably be a long trip anyway, lol.

I would love to meet some GOGers, but i have absolutely no money to go on a trip. I totally support the idea, though.

As a alternative idea to all meeting at once, we could set it up so that each GOGer meets another who then meets another and so on and so forth (across countries and so forth).

So while we won't meet all at once we would form a chain which would connect the entire community.

And if we are so inclined we could get some item (copy of system shock 2, GOG t-shirt... etc) and have every GOGer sign it and then hand it to GOG.

This idea is pretty cool and I'd definitely want to take part. Doesn't have to be one-to-one with the GOGers though. Could have group meet-ups when possible along the chain!

I thought that too, the two options are do the meet ups either in parallel or in series,

Good idéa. We could have country meetings. All USA GOGers can meet somewhere in USA, German GOGers in Germany and so forth. Neighbouring countries could also visit each others meetings if so inclined.
