i'd just like the option to jump to MY last post in a thread, so i can continue reading from the point i left of at.
I'd like the thread list to show the last poster, rather than the first one. That's a much more interesting piece of information, imo.
I really like the design of the website overall. It's really inspirational if you're designing a clean website and has many tiny features that make it just out over hte crowd!
Is anybody else enamoured with the rejection of web 2.0 white gloss paint slathered all over like some deluded tribute to microsoft.
Grey is cool, call me odd or deliberately subvertive but I think its nice and neutral, in keeping with the attitude of GOG. We make it what it is. Not the DRM or the company image.

I think they actually made it gray to make the games (and their art) stand out way more on their respective pages. :)
I like its simple and unique design. I does however take away fancy text, oh well. I don't mind it too much since people can't post in obnoxious colors and GIANT font. It is a very slick design and I really enjoy the overall look of it.

Wishbone: What the hell does that have to do with pessimism? I don't think you know what that word means.

lowyhong: Whoops I re-read the OP and I realised that he's referring to the interface, not the forum itself. I skimmed through it, and all I caught was the phrase "it's a real pleasure posting/browsing in the forum"
In any case tho, sorry if that offended you, even though I meant it as a joke

Yes, I was actually referring more to the interface than the codes/stuff like that.
Few features missing here and there, but the forum is quite good. :)

Wishbone: I've said from the beginning that I think GOG made a grave error in insisting upon developing their own forum software. That's not their core competence, and it shows.

RahaMies: I do agree with you. This site's forum is pretty clunky when it comes to posting stuff, since you cannot use any kind of BBCode and you cannot preview your message before sending it.
There are some good things. You can very easily mark subcategories you wish to quickly access and you can also follow topics inside those subcategories with ease. Another good thing is that people can't post any kind of signatures, which often are some stupid graphical s**t that doesn't have any kind of message, aren't funny/informative and take way too much space.

I like the absence of signatures too, as well as the small size of avatars and their lack of animation. I have a good cable connection at work and at home, but I don't like waiting for all that stupid junk to load even so, and find it uselessly distracting.
As to codes, I've used character formatting codes in posts before and had them work, but as you can see here, it looks like you can no longer use [italic]character[/italic] formatting [bold]commands[/bold] in the ordinary way, and that's a little weird. The forum took a step backward unfortunately.
