GhostQlyph: It's recursive. If it goes over $32 after one removal, another removal proceeds as though the results of the first were the original picks.

Spinorial: Does the over/under 16 evaluation happen after every removal, or is it fixed. E.g. if both players are over 16, lose their priciest picks, and one is left under 16, the other over, but the total is still over 32, does only the lower-sum player lose a game, or do they both keep losing their priciest picks?

Also, if there is a tie for cheapest/most expensive game, do you pick which to remove, does the player, or is it random (which would be plain evil)?

The tally is in:

I have 32 monies. Two people will split these monies. The two entrants chosen by magical fluffy bullshit who agree to be part of a SOCIOLOGICAL EXPERIMENT will split these monies.

EDIT FOR CLARITY: THE GAMES I AM SPEAKING OF BELOW ARE GOG GAMES AND THE MONIES ARE US DOLLARS AND NOW I AM SAD BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS RUINED: blame wpegg, for he is a sinister deity i mean just look at that avatar of PURE HEARTLESS EVIL

THE RULES:

To enter: post, with an image of a sufficiently sciency guinea-pig attached.

There are 2 participants, chosen based on the scienciness and quality of their guinea-pigs.
There are 32 monies (US value!).

The participants must publicly hash out the games they want and how the money is to be split. Observers are encouraged to form teams and egg on their chosen economic gladiator.

When they have reached a decision, they PM me saying they are ready. No further discussion between them is allowed at this time.

No less than one day later (this will be enforced!), they tell me their game lists. EDIT: These do not have to be the same as what was agreed on!

If there is not enough monies for both lists and only one is over half of the monies (16 monies) then the maker of the cheaper list loses their cheapest game. EDIT: This happens to the cheaper list until the total value is below 32 monies. EDIT2: If after the cheaper list has been reduced to a single game there is STILL not enough monies, then the maker of the more expensive list gets punched in the kidneys and publicly flogged and nobody gets games. Then I make another giveaway.

If both lists go over half of the monies (16 monies) BOTH participants lose their most expensive games. EDIT: This happens to BOTH participants until the total value is below 32 monies.

EDIT3: After every removal, the value of both lists is checked again to see if and how the games should be removed.

EDIT3: If there is a tie in value for cheapest/most expensive game, the game to be removed is chosen at random.

If the combined total is less than 32 monies, those monies are lost. The value of any games removed due to not enough monies is lost.

OR Then they each PM you their list that ostensibly equals $32 AND both try to outfox their partner to try to get more value.
Then in that case each of them loses the lowest cost games on their respective lists until each of them has at least one game - but if those still total above $32, then neither of them wins anything.

Is that it?
