Fenixp: Well, according to this, windows users are always the cheapsakes, with Mac Users paying about 50% and Linux users often about 100% more. Note that I'm not basing these numbers or anything but a guess based on what I've seen in the stats.
Well, Linux users need to be passionate about their platform. Otherwise they wouldn't use it for games ;-P. And that Mac users have more money then sense is also unsurprising ;-P.

On a more serious note, the Windows OS is probably the OS with the least paid average on any software, simply because it is also the cheapest to get and maintain.

Fesin: Not when we're talking about the low average. Because there are a lot of people who don't boycott DRM entirely, but instead games with DRM just have a very, very low value for them - they will buy the Bundle, because they want the games, but they won't pay much for it because it has DRM.
Is that also why people paid less average on on the HIB 4? Or the Frozenbyte bundle?

You can have your reality twisted as much as you want. But the numbers speak a different language.

Rodzaju: No.
Winter assault is included in DoW GOLD.
The GOTY is the same as the vanilla, with a few extra multiplayer skirmish maps.
Great work THQ. Only they can get people pissed at a free game.

Don't you remember the Great GOG Fallout Debacle?
Well, at least in my country we will get $1.25 off Titan Quest Gold (on a 75% off sale) having the base game. But this standalone Dawn of War is absolutely useless for anyone who wants to play the expansions.

With the amount I paid, though, I shouldn't even mind them putting this up.

retsuseiba: Well, that sucks hairy balls.
It doesn't really, you do get the very solid campaign of the original for free you know.

retsuseiba: Well, that sucks hairy balls. I mean, that was actually worse than the Titan Quest business since Steam doesn't sell the vanilla/GotY nor the Winter Assault separately.

Had I know this before, I wouldn't have activated that key and instead would've bought the DoW games in a generous sale or something. But doing so now... I dunno, feels like a waste. :p
Consider it a "prolonged demo" ;-).

Untrue. If you only buy Dark Crusade or Soulstorm, it unlocks Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orcs and Eldar factions for multiplayer.
There are 2 days left. There is a big chance that they will add Winter Assault tomorrow. It's possible.

To backup Fenixp on this DoW thing

DoW Gold also includes Winter Assault which is a full campaign in its own right. Not forgetting you get the Space Marine and also an Orc campaign with the base game to start. So there is plenty to be getting on with!!

Soulstorm and Dark Crusade are Standalone games not expansions, thats probably why they haven't been included. They will be included in the winter sale at Steam though, they always include them in the big sales and they are both dirt cheap.

I thought it doesn't?

So you do get Winter Assault? That's awesome then, the 'good' campaign is definitely one of the best SP experiences I've ever had in a RTS, it's fast-paced, it's brutal, and it's fun.

But then you miss Winter Assault. Which is actually the most interesting expansion for me, as I prefer single-player.

Now I'm wondering, though, are the extra maps included in the Gold Edition? And will they stay if I buy Gold later?

Yeah, it does. Its the version I have got :

http://store.steampowered.com/app/4570/

If you read the first paragraph it tells you that it includes Winter Assault. The box cover also shows Blood Ravens on the left of the name and Imperial Legion on the right!

To quote the Steam store page for DoW Gold Edition :

"Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Gold Edition features the award-winning Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Game of the Year Edition and the highly anticipated expansion pack Winter Assault."

You keep confusing your interpretation with facts. You should stop doing that.
Confusion everywhere!
