Oh, c'mon, the difference was only a dollar. Not to sound arrogant or anything, but if anyone fell for that just to save a dollar, I'd say it's their own fault.
I grant you that it's not the most sympathethic tactics, but Amanita is not the only indie dev team using them. Almost Human offered a better deal for LoG in the Humble Store, too, and Daedalic apparantly didn't want GOG to sell multi-language versions of their game for their low price. So far, none of the new indie deals has been particularly generous and none of the indie devs have been particularly nice to GOG. It's a business and they're looking for their own interests just like everyone else. Whether the deals are actually working out for GOG or not is up to them to decide.
