Zangtesu: Well if you were already wondering to buy botanicula, this is a good deal because you get for the price of botanicula machinarium and samorost as well as the other game, and they might even add something more. Now as a bundle i find it a little expensive if you only wanted for example the key to machinarium on steam.
Don't forget this also apparently gives you the full soundtrack of Botanicula, not just GOG's three tracks. And Machinarium. This makes the GOG offer look absolutely terrible.

I wonder if the GOG guys knew about this.
Some of us preordered it from Gog, good looking game, like the studio. Wait all day to get it available to download and as it downloads find out that for the same price or less as gog you can get all this extra stuff with it!

Don't we feel stupid. Still at least we have a wallpaper and 3 demo tracks! YaY
Cool, purchased
Definitely seems like a bit of a lame move to release a game for a standard price on GOG and Gamersgate, then at the very same time put it in a pay what you want bundle, where you can get it for practically nothing and undercut both stores. Poor form imho.
This is really odd to me as well.

It seems people around the net are upset about this bundle and the $5 Steam key minimum. Plus most people own Machinarium and Samorost 2 from previous bundles. So, while it's a good deal for the games alone, it's in a different vein than typical Humble Bundles.

What a huge undercut to GOG's sales.

Holy shit this is weird, crazy and annoying for Gog and people who preordered the game to find hey lets stick it in a humble bundle the same day it goes live on all other distributors. Not buying Humble bundle as this is wrong and i feel sorry for Gog and other distributors who are going to lose a heell of a lot of sales over this.
From a consumer perspective I see nothing wrong with this, but this is a pretty unfriendly thing for Amanita to do to GOG considering they're just starting out with the indie games.

Given that there's the Humble Store, are we seeing DRM-free rivalry?

Oh well, competition is good.

Did anyone wringing their hands over this actually y'know, preorder this from GoG? It did not seem like it was much of a hot seller.
I'm fairly ticked off by this. Whether this was just from not thinking about it or from the HB guys trying to undercut GOG, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I may still get this bundle, (I want the full soundtrack) but neither Amanita or HB will be seeing a penny of it. Hurray for being able 'pay' with a charitable donaion!

bazilisek: It almost looks as if they're fucking with GOG on purpose, doesn't it?
Yes it does. When I first saw this thread I was thinking "Oh look, a joke thread. Surely they wouldn't do this to GOG." Hell the game isn't even on the steam store yet and they've got steam keys for it. Where's the love for GOG?
Oh well, that's really bad. Beside selling the game on release day, Machinarium and Samorost 2 were already sold on HIB2. HIB already sold games twice, but only because they got Android versions. But this time, om my... maybe first HIB bundle I don't buy.

This! I think HB guys want to launch their own store full-scale finally and thus feel threatened by GOG. As much as I like them (less over time actually) it does look like a move to eliminate competition.

Yep, that's what I did. The offer is good, so I bought it, but I moved the charity slider much further to the right than usual, because this definitely is a dick move by the devs.

Yes, I did.
