The End Might be Near*. Better Play Some Games!

We don't really know if the Mayans were right
Will the 21st be the Earth's final night?
If it really is, we know we'd want to be
Spending our last hours enjoyably

The end of the world, and the bundles we bring
Are a wondrous package--an incredible thing
All the daily deals for the whole month today shine
We've even brought ones from the future in asynchronous time

Of all of the days of the year 2012
This is the one for gamers just like yourselves
To pick up some games before the world ends
And spend your last day having fun times with friends

Some say the world ends in fire--or ice
We think that neither ending sounds nice
If the world has to end--neither frozen nor flaming
The world should end in a way that says: gaming!

There's and [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/the_witcher_2]Witcher, and and [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/duke_nukem_3d_atomic_edition]Duke
And Deus Ex, , or [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/thief_gold]Thief
So before the world leaders launch thousands of nukes
Spend a few moments and suspend disbelief

Theme Hospital, , [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/caesar_3]Caesar 3 and Trine
It sure was nice living, but we're just out of time
Ultima Games, from 1 to game 9
The aliens are invading--we must hold the line!

, [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/wing_commander_1_2]Wing Commander, and indie FTL
Crusaders and Heroes of Magic and Might
The end is approaching boys; see you in hell
Bruce Willis can't save us from this meteorite

Quests for Kings and for Space and for Heroes and Glory
and [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/telltale_adventures]Telltale
The abyss is erupting--this will surely be gory
Frogs are raining down in amphibious hail

The world may be ending, our last day is nigh
So take this last chance to play games 'till you die!

*GOG.com in no way endorses The End of The World. We like it here. If you have a Death Star, a Death Ray, or a fleet of Cyber T-rexes with Lasers, please don't destroy the Earth right now. At least wait until we release that game that everyone's waiting for. And that one, too. No, that one probably will never happen.
My wallet and will-power had been holding up fairly well throughout the Christmas Promos until now :-/ Too many games on my wishlist from that dang Cyberpunk & Steampunk Bundle too pass up. Curse you Wishlist!
EDIT: nevermind, it is fixed now.

My wishlist is getting smaller. Thanks, GOG!

gameon: and it's added expense? No thanks.
What added expense? GK 1+2+3 is $8.97, GK 1+2+3 plus Phantasmagoria 1+2 is $8.45. Grabbing Phantasmagoria gets you the Gabriel Knight games for cheaper.

Pelmenji: "It would be better if they had every single game on 75% off than just the whole bundle" This is quite ungrateful, and in my opinion even insolent. You know who else, when given something nice, bluntly ask for more instead of saying "thank you"? Little children who have yet to learn good manners.
Thank you for stating this so succinctly.

DarkChaplain: Sadly this. I don't think I bought a single game on sale so far, despite having plenty on my wishlist.

Those that got daily deals already were all in bundles I didn't want to pick up in total, just for a game or two. Those "all or nothing" bundles are especially frustrating if you already own most if not all of the included games on other platforms already, such as Steam or Humble.

Those deals are all stellar, yet they are obviously gonna disappoint the more selective customer.
+1

Come on GOG, this bundle thing is not good. I bought the bullfrog bundle, because i am interested in all games, but i would have spend more money than that. But i am not interested in rebuying games i own at Steam or Retail or in games I would never play because i dont like them to get a higher discount. But i would not buy this games "only" with 50% off if a higher dicount is possible.

To give an example. The complete Daedalic Bundle costs 16.21$ - i already own Deponia - at Steam AND GOG. I own the steam version of Whispered World and Satinav (german language). I would gladly pick only Edna and A New Beginning - but this two games cost 14,98$ - only 1,23$ difference from the bundle.

Result: I buy nothing...

abelthorne: When displaying the Indie RPGs bundle, I get "$NaN" (Not a Number in programming languages) for Inquisitor and Divinity 2 when all the games are selected. The price for the pack is "$NaN" too (not sure how much I would be charged...).
When unselecting one game so they get back to the -50% price, they have a correct price.
avatar
TNGpt: I just noticed that too: Divinity 2 and Inquisitor are going for free on the bundle instead of -75% like the rest of the games.
I clicked the checkout button and they all show up for the correct price there ($23 and change) so unfortunately no one is going to get to see what would happen if someone tried to charge $NaN to a credit card.

Pelmenji: To all those nagging about the 75% thing:

I don't really understand this complaining about how you "only" get 50% off when not buying the whole bundle.
First off, games on GOG are realatively low priced in general. On top of that, here you get that already low price halved for almost every game for 3 weeks. I'd call that a pretty good deal. And as a special deal, if you buy the whole bundle you get the price halfed again. That's enough to make the whole bundle cheaper than if you leave one or two games out.
And now you're saying that this is still not enough of a discount.

"It would be better if they had every single game on 75% off than just the whole bundle" This is quite ungrateful, and in my opinion even insolent. You know who else, when given something nice, bluntly ask for more instead of saying "thank you"? Little children who have yet to learn good manners.

"But there are games in the bundle I'm not interessted in / I don't want all those extra games in my library"
Like I said before, even if you leave out a few games (up to half the relative value of the games!), the bundle is still cheaper. So what's the worst thing that can happen if you buy the whole bundle? You have games lying around in your library. But what can happen, and I think that this is one of the (ulterior) motives behind this, is that you try out new games you wouldn't have normally bought.

So stop being such cheapskates, it's not like you're getting ripped off.
Highly rated. Well said. Couldn't agree more :)

I forgot we have the ability to trade with others, lol. So there is a way around it.

TheEnigmaticT: The only bundles we will have are the bundles that you see. We've arranged them here for you even though they are not, strictly speaking by linear time, due to show up yet.
Thank you!

Time to buy Moto Racer 3 then.

I think the thing is in the feeling about getting "punished" for having a game in another platform/store. Not like we don't are grateful for the offers, but already having the 60% of a pack, makes you think like "maybe I should'nt have bought this before".
I also felt like that when i've sen The Witcher 2 at 75% off, because i bought it the first day at 60% off because somewhere said "different offers each day".
I think my wallet just died......... But hey I got some good games.

It's fixed now. Inquisitor and Divinity 2 showed up as "FREE" before on checkout and the bundle was going for $14.95.
Is the Indie RPGs correct? It has From $3.74 in the promo pic, but when you click it they are a buy all for the full discount bundle. I thought the from part meant they could be individual purchases and get the full discount. Like the Pick & Mix Scandinavian Games.
where all doomed doomed i tells yah but hell good promo.
