We're happy that you're enjoying our new GOGmix feature, as can be seen by the sheer gargantuan number of them. We would like share with you some of our thoughts and favorites.

<a href=""http://www.gog.com/en/mix></a>When we created this feature, we wanted to encourage people to use their creativity muscle and do their best to stand our from the crowd. Making a list of memorable RPGs is all fine and good, but the things that really make a GOGmix shine lie in the very first steps of creating one.
A good idea is a must. A clever, cunning or otherwise cool title is a welcome bonus. A lack of descriptions just makes you look lazy. Most importantly, though, the best GOGmix is a truly unique one.
Take a look at what we're talking about:

Games your mom wouldn't let you play if she ever knew,
Games You Might Miss But Shouldn't,
Learn how to sell your own mother in four easy steps,
Unique Atmosphere and Original Gameplay,
Warning: may be perfect substitute for morphine.

We want to make this kind of spotlight a regular or semi-regular feature on our site, so we encourage you to do your best in order to see your GOGmix make it into the next one!

Phantasmagoria 2 and Blood are also not mother approved. ;)
I made some mixes with games released in a particular year... Still have a dozen years to cover. I'll do this during the coming week.

XXXX
1992
1993
1994
2005
2006
2007
I picked classic games that got great reviews when they came out as a theme.

Famous classic games you shouldn't miss
When I saw the morphine one started with DBtS, I had a guess who compiled this mix... and I was right! :-) Also, lowyhong, that mix is (sorely) missing The Guild. (If you have no personal experience with it, you have some serious arrear to make up for! :-D)
By the way, neat idea, this spotlight!
Painstakingly went through which games had soundtracks (or sounds in general, as Duke and at least one other only have some ringtones). You guys be sure to post whenever already-here games get new content, now; don't wanna have to go through them all every so months just to check.
Also, I forgot to mention in my last post, but cool list, Titanium! I myself was about to create a merchants/business-themed mix (yesterday, or the day before that), but then found yours.

I really don't see why you shouldn't. The more the merrier. And thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the recommendation Doc, I'll be sure to try The Guild soon.

I've updated my list with Panzer General 2 and JA2.

Right now, I have an other mix-topic on my mind, but later, probably I'll make a trading mix, too.

That's a good one, in my opinion.
