The "Pay What You Want" can be purchased from GOG.com starting now until 01:00 AM GMT on the 18th of October, 2012.

Set your own fair price for the classic Divine Divinity, where you become the chosen one, destined to fulfil an ancient prophecy and save the Seven Races of Rivellon. In this extensive, challenging, and very addictive game you will encounter many different enemies and a great variety of items, NPCs, and quests.

The top 10% of our most generous users will also grant themselves an early access to the upcoming Divinity 2: Developer's Cut.The Developer's Cut, which is the ultimate edition of the game, comes with Divinity II and the expansion Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance, as well as a special developer's mode and extra goodies, will be available on PC on the 18th of October, 2012, but if you buy it here you will get to play it a day earlier than everyone else! The "Director's Cut" subtitle also means, that you'll have the unique opportunity to experience the game just as the developers did: with optional access to developer console you'll feel like the god of the realm.

But that's not all! All of the games come with an extensive amount of goodies--especially Divinity 2: Developer's Cut features a crazy amount of bonus materials (all of which you can access as soon as you finalize your purchase). To make things even more interesting, Larian Games told us that as the sales progress, they will be releasing some very special announcements and interesting videos. Heard enough? xyem: The annoying thing is if I say it isn't me, no-one will believe me. Argh!
That's a pretty suspicious non-denial denial.

Thiev: I've no idea yet, to both questions. I can answer that tomorrow.
If my internet connection wasn't so slow I'd have tried to dl it before tomorrow just in case. I guess I'll just wait until I go to the library tomorrow and get it then :) Thanks for the reply Thiev.
Hmm, yesterday new HumbleBundle started, they have already over 32.000 bundles sold, which offer is more interesting?
"Pay What You Want" only applies to one title, though!
I feel the unlock levels are a bit optimistic, looking at how much other non-humble bundle bundles usually sell :)

This promo also made me realize how cool Indie Royale's system is, where you actually lower the minimum price for other people by paying more generously. It would have been nice if something similar had been done for BD, and perhaps even D2 (though a 'pay at least x' would have worked as well there, just like you unlock the bonus music album with Indie Royale).

Anyway, I really like the idea of pay-what-you-want sales on GOG (as long as the original team actually still gets money for it) and I hope you guys will keep improving the system.

I supported it, but it should have been advertised as Divine Divinity pay what you want only, it would at least be less misleading, as for it being fair... I don't know...
When we reach 30k and LMK tech demo will be unlocked, will it be available as an extra goodie to Divinity II or what?
Aww. I already own Divine Divinity and Divinity II on Steam so I just needed Beyond Divinity. Back to waiting for a sale on Beyond Divinity then.

Reach 30.000... ... to unlock the E3 2000 tech demo of LMK, an unfinished isometric RPG available here for the first time ever for everyone who participates!
Which is to say: the only way I can see it can be made available to "everyone who participates", interpreting "participates" in a GOG way (as generously as possible), is as an additional game on the shelf. But I don't know.

Edit: or they might have meant it in a literal sense: "for everyone who participates, and also for many more people who didn't". In which case it'll be on the DD gamecard as an extra.

CowboyBebop: That's what I'd like to know. If it's an actual graphics update I'd expect the system requirements would change.

frankd3: This sheds a little light on it, but not much: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/divine_divinity_series/divinity_anthology/post10 I'm hoping that maybe the fonts might scale up to make higher resolutions easier to read but otherwise it would have to at least be selecting all high resolutions in game with no need to tweak an ini file. This is only my guess. edit: Should have added the quote: "DD and BD will be updated. The 'remastering' consists of higher and widescreen resolution support and Vista/7 compatibility fixes. Due to an accident with the source code, the current download versions of DD contain a few bugs fixed in the disk version patch. The current GOG version of BD is the same as the patched disk version. Presumably both will be updated within the next week, or so; DD should have a couple skills fixed, etc, compared to the disk version, but neither have updated graphics or added game content.
Awesome! Exactly what I wanted.

I'd like some official statement about that. Is it something that will be available only for those who buy this bundle, or for those who will buy Divinity II?
The early birds get the worms.

The promo says "for everyone who participates". If you buy DD for 0.01 for yourself, you obviously participate. If you already have DD, that particular route is closed, so I assume people who buy gift codes for DD "participate", too. Does this apply to gift recipients? No idea.

So my current best guess is that they'll just add LMK to DD gamecard when the goal is reached (because if you participate, you can't avoid acquiring DD), and the whole notion of exclusivity is just GOG marketspeak + customer derp.

(Which doesn't really concern me much, because I managed to get D2 before the price hike.)
