Great and thanks. I come here for the bargains.

So when a game shows up with potential to be something I might like I want to be sure before plopping down so many moneez.

Krypsyn: It'll go in my mental log of things to be more clear about in the future. No big deal either way; this was still a very fast and smooth running game.
avatar
trentonlf: Granted this was only my second game, but the first one and this one both people have made the comment that they moved fast. I thought this one was rather a slow paced one, am I wrong?
I've played in nearly all of them - believe me, this one was fast...

How does a three months long game feel like? I'm not sure I'll be able to grind that long... Doesn't it get tedious and annoying at some point?

it does, yeah, but sometimes you can cope. Helps if you are busy in real life, then you check every other day and find you havent missed anything...

But - its much preferable to have a quicker game...

dedoporno: You were also among the winners in both games :)

Both of us managed to win Wasteland 2 from the two running giveaways while playing here :)

Lots of shared wins :)

flubbucket: I'm very interested to know how Wasteland 2 plays.

I played the original a thousand years ago and I'm a huge Fallout fan.
I, too, haven't begun it yet. I only play one game at a time and I'm still making my way through The Banner Saga.
I'm still not sure whether the next game will indeed be Wasteland 2 or whether I will do Wasteland 1 first. Probably 1.
I didn't like Fallout. I gave it a try twice and both times abandoned it when reaching The Hub.
Didn't try Fallout 2.
I am, however, a huge fan of Fallout Tactics. Easily within my top ten all-time PC favourites.

Why the sad puss, puss?
You know I liked Fallout Tactics as well. I find it odd it gets some hate out on the web.

Maybe I must play it now??

I can try and look away from you not liking Fallout, but not trying Fallout 2?!

Seriously?!?

It's one of the best games ever made, personal all time favorite. You should give it a second chance, mate :)

I have this problem, you see. It's a bit private, but...

I can't bring myself to play games out of order and since I could not complete Fallout 1, I never began Fallout 2.
Same story for Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (attempted the first 3 times, never installed the second).
Same story for The Witcher 1 and 2 (attempted the first 3 times, never installed the second).
Gotcha

Yes. But a smaller circumference.

Funny thing. I played Fallout 2 first, like 2 times in a row. Then, a couple of years later - once more. Only afterwards I managed to acquire the first one and went through it like Drano. Then 2 again, followed by 3 which was cool, but it's pretty much a different game.

Shame on the other titles, too. I can't speak for BG, but I have a buddy who swears by it. The Witcher is a top-notch game, though. Not sure why, but you are the second person who can't seem to get around to like it and I couldn't let it go until I was done and then some. And I played it like 2-3 months ago, so I can't say it's because it has aged...

But, yeah. You're missing out :) At least consider the witchers, with the next one looking awesome as f*ck and just around the corner.

I couldn't get into the Witcher either. I only played a bit of the prologue though, it just didn't interest me. Not sure why as it is the kind of game I would usually like. Could just be I don't have the time to commit to a big RPG at the moment, especially one I'm not 100% into (and I did get it for free, it's not like I actually wanted it)
I like the Sci-Fi setting more than the post apocalyptic Sci-Fi setting.
Why is there no post-apocalyptic fantasy video game! O_O Oh, wait! We got Arx Fatalis.
