<span class="bold">[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/seven_kingdoms_ancient_adversaries]Seven Kingdoms: Ancient Adversaries, an incredible blend of population and city management, trade, espionage, diplomacy and combat, is only $2.39 for the next 24 hours.

A long, long time ago, when people lived among gods and monsters, seven kingdoms struggled for rule over the land. Lead one of those civilizations to glory through sophisticated trade, diplomacy, espionage, and conquest. Seven Kingdoms is a real-time mix of empire building and RTS combat, but the unique ideas make it more than a simple hybrid--it’s a deeply satisfying strategy which will require planning, a strong economy, and, if you choose to, fighting. Seven Kingdoms: Ancient Adversaries is a patched, updated and re-released version of the original game Seven Kingdoms.

The deep plots, rich characters, and Byzantine double-dealing remind us of a certain well-known fantasy series that’s just started its second season up in America, so we thought this would be a fantastic chance for you to play something like a “Game of Things that Kings Sit On”, if you know what we mean. ;)

The complexity of Seven Kingdoms allows you to achieve your goals in multiple ways, but there is only one way you can get this Gem for $2.39: it’s right here on GOG.com, for the next 24 hours.

SimonG: That explains why those stupid humble bundles are such a devestating failure ...
Why? The IP OWNERS decided that it will be open source. How do I harm them by downloading it for free?

I bet coins for nuts that if such situation happened on steam, some of you'd be first to say "OMG THEY WANT MONIES FOR FREE GAME GREEDY BASTERDS"

And I don't get that point of view that "every company should earn money". If some games aren't good enough to be sold for full price, PWYW is the only option for them.

Many indie titles sold very well with full price, because they were good enough to people who wanted to buy them.

So no, humble bundles are not devastating for anyone. Not every game ever created is worth paying $10. Hell, even $5 if you look at Trapped Dead for example.

This is how the market works - weak die.

PS. If I wanted to support the devs, I'd sent them money directly, not through middle men.

I don't say you shouldn't buy it. I just agree with the fella who said , there's no reason to do so. And it's his and mine opinion, fairly justified.

And if that was an irony, it was pretty lame. Because things that are on humblebundles are not free (at least not all of them in the bundles).

keeveek: Soundtrack? If somebody likes to listen music this old, then ok, maybe it's an advantage.
Seriously?
A very good, complex game with catchy music, I say buy it (already have it).

GameRager: If you're broke and you have to decide between a free(legal) version and a paid version I think(for most) the choice is obvious.
it's kinda funny how many people here are constantly online, sitting in front of a gaming PC, complaining about being too broke to afford even discounted games, yet - in all their reported poverty - have nothing more important to worry about than GOG promos...

you decide...

it's just an observation i've made since i've started reading these forums regularly.

You read the forums regularly? I thought everyone here just popped in and out now and again while I sat here...all alone.....*sniff*

As for your past reply possibly concerning me.....well I just like to post to threads and talk to people. I also don't work(can't) so I have no reason to NOT be on the PC besides medical appointments and necessary outings.
If you're happy with the open-source version, don't buy this. If you want to let people know about the free version because you think they should be spending their money on other GOG games, let them know. If you want music and a manual included with the game, buy this.

What other bases do I need to cover? :)
Just bought it - thanks GOG

For £1.56 what's the harm - think of it as buying GOG a pint! :)

You bloody Northerners and your cheap drinks... Down south, £1.56 will barely get you a half...

... Anyways, not buying it meself as I've a massive backlog to clear, and it doesn't look hugely appealing to me. I did come close to picking it up though.
Great game with surprise promo :)
