<span class="bold">[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/seven_kingdoms_ancient_adversaries]Seven Kingdoms: Ancient Adversaries, an incredible blend of population and city management, trade, espionage, diplomacy and combat, is only $2.39 for the next 24 hours.

A long, long time ago, when people lived among gods and monsters, seven kingdoms struggled for rule over the land. Lead one of those civilizations to glory through sophisticated trade, diplomacy, espionage, and conquest. Seven Kingdoms is a real-time mix of empire building and RTS combat, but the unique ideas make it more than a simple hybrid--it’s a deeply satisfying strategy which will require planning, a strong economy, and, if you choose to, fighting. Seven Kingdoms: Ancient Adversaries is a patched, updated and re-released version of the original game Seven Kingdoms.

The deep plots, rich characters, and Byzantine double-dealing remind us of a certain well-known fantasy series that’s just started its second season up in America, so we thought this would be a fantastic chance for you to play something like a “Game of Things that Kings Sit On”, if you know what we mean. ;)

The complexity of Seven Kingdoms allows you to achieve your goals in multiple ways, but there is only one way you can get this Gem for $2.39: it’s right here on GOG.com, for the next 24 hours.
I loved Seven Kingdoms so much when it came out they even used a blurb of mine in advertising for the game :)

I still have the CDs for it somewhere, but god knows where, so yep, I just bought this one. Really really awesome game!
I wouldn't mind getting this but I just suck at these types of game, I'm interested in them, but I couldn't play and win to save my life. :/

Complaining about paying 2.39$USD for owning one of the defining moments in the history of RTS games, not to mention it being a great game in it's own right? Someone needs some shotgun paracetamol.

GOG.com: ...for the next 24 hours.
Can we go back to having specific end times on deals stated? It's much easier than trying to calculate from the post date.
Now I'm actually a little pissed. I missed this one because of all the stuff happening on GOG lately. What confuses me most is the fact that I received an email about the live announcement but not about the promo.

And only saying "for the next 24 hours" is also terrible since the date of the promo announcement only says "yesterday". When I read "yesterday" + "for the next 24 hours" I actually expect the promo to be still valid.
The front page post was supposed to turn off when the promo ended, but we set the incorrect time for it. Apologies.

It is not only this - as you may read there, GOG's front page isn't working at all (among other things).

I forgive you - this time...

Gonadius: You bloody Northerners and your cheap drinks... Down south, £1.56 will barely get you a half...

... Anyways, not buying it meself as I've a massive backlog to clear, and it doesn't look hugely appealing to me. I did come close to picking it up though.
Northerner! How very dare you! ;)

I'm as southern as they come, in fact I work looking out at the sea on the south coast!

I might not get round to playing it anytime soon, like you my backlog is rather large but at the price I don't mind flinging a few dollars GOG's way
What I don't get about so many people here is you're constantly bitching about GOG not offering other classic games you want, but then you're not even willing to spend less than 3 BUCKS on a game so you can support GOG, which in the long run also helps them be more successful so they can offer more games.

Honestly, on my couple of months on GOG, I've never seen more cheapskates in my life. I currently live on less than $1,000 a month (I live in Bangkok) and I still manage to spend $40-50 of that a month on games. The prices at GOG are obscenely cheap, even when games aren't on sale, so I just don't get all the bitching and the "i can't afford it".

As for the $2.39 for Seven Kingdoms, it may be free somewhere else, and it may not have come with music (I bought it yesterday and the music will not play for me :(, but I don't mind paying the $2.39, if for nothing else that it's stored on GOG where I can download it no matter where I am.

Jesus, people. Stop being so cheap. I'll bet you can find 3 bucks for a beer or a coffee but not for a game!!!!!!

Agreed. My budget is currently even a bit lower than yours and still I get to buy a lot of games thanks to GOG. Even if it regularly happens that I pay about a fifth or sometimes fourth of my income on games - I see others paying even more on stuff that isn't any more useful and I'm passionate about games so I *usually* don't bitch around about the GOG prices. I'd still be glad though if GOG announced every single promo or new release via email. :P
