It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hmm, I've steadily been downloading Psychonauts using FDM and the copy-paste link technique from the browser downloads. When I try to resume today, it gives me a "Access denied. Invalid user name or password" error.

Will this trick still work now that the downloader is fixed? Or am I doing something else wrong?
Im having the same problem. I try to log in and its telling me that my name or password is incorrect.....
Which is funny, because they're the same loggin for this forum, and as you can see, Im logged in. I even logged in and out a couple times to make sure I wasnt typoing, and Im not. Tried multiple times on the Downloader. No dice.
I seem to have a memory leak with the gog.com downloader.exe. It grows to 2 gigs memory utilization and then proceeds to crash.

LaughingMan008, I tried again later, and then it was fine. But today it doesn't like me anymore, again. Quite temperamental.

Quick question, is the downloader supposed to open automatically?
Because I have to run the .air file manually to start the downloader and it would be nice if it automatically started.
I'm using Firefox on Windows 7 btw.
It doesn't open automatically when you click "add to downloader" if that's what you mean. Would be nice if we got a "add to and open downloader" in addition to just "add to downloader".
Hi, I'm trying to download TOEE on the downloader and it keeps giving me two different error messages, E1014 and E1008.

It will eventually freeze and stop responding.

Also half the time when I try to open the downloader I get an unexpected error while initialising.

I'm running Windows 7. Thanks!

That was what I meant,
I mean it's not a disaster or anything, but it would be nice if it could autostart.

Hi Guys,

I agree with antifood. I can't leave gog.com downloader.exe open for more than an Hour.
Even if you are not downloading anything, the memory usage keeps going up and up.
When the downloader crashes it corrupts the game that I was downloading and I have to start all over again.

Is there anything that can be done to remedy this memory leak?
As GoG haven't responded (as far as I can tell, the 'support' thing seems to have vanished off the site for me) about my suggestion for a distributed downloader, I'll see if I can get it running under Linux and then make a 3rd party downloader. Might be able to solve some of these issues!

Same prob here. I can't login.

Come on, GOG! I know you're just a tiny company but this is starting to get ridiculous! At least post here to let us know if you're working on it!
GOG support walking me through deleting the cache for Adobe Air, and the problem continued. I believe the issue is caused when having crossed a threshold and there are too many games in the queue. Limiting the queue size has allowed for me to use the program without it crashing, as the memory leak does not develop as quickly. Support told me that their technical resources are working on other high priority items and will not be able to work on the technical issues of downloader in the near future.

I guess there is a reason the downloader still reads as being in Beta!
Well, I don't know if it's the downloader (which only just started working for me), but NWN had a file integrity error on the 2gig .bin file, so please re-download. Given I have download limits in Australia, I won't be trusting the downloader again until it is confirmed solid (downloading straight from Chrome in the last few weeks has had no issues).

Apparently it doesn't like DownloadThemAll in Firefox either. Not good.

I'm also experiencing the error where the downloader tells me I have the wrong username or password.
Is this GOG Downloader supposed to be *terribly slow*? The menu interface is very slow to respond to my mouseclicks and all that. Additionally, the download speed is also terrible compared to the browser's.

Then I tried downloading NWN Diamond, and I get an 'integrity error'. Skipping that gives me that the file's corrupt and can't be installed and has address violations out of the wazoo. So, I wasted about 6 hours downloading just to get a corrupted download.

I'd highly suggest to find something else than Adobe Air. I didn't have it on my system for a reason. I only installed it because of GOG and it reminded me why I loathed Air so much.

Now I'm trying to get NWN Diamond via Chrome, since it crashes my Firefox at around 25% of the 2GB file. There's hoping I finally get it.
Update: Chrome worked. Now I can finally install.
